"Give it to me" was originally a punk song and along the way we had to change it to an electronic song so it would fit in with the rest of the songs on the EP. However, I keep coming back to the original demo because I always loved the punk attitude it has and it's at its best with punk guitars. So I took the original demo, remixed it, slapped together a video from one of our photoshoots and here we are, in all its glory. The original version of "Give it to me" written by Mara Zal LadyJane and Me (Dee). Enjoy!

I have vivid memories of working on this song during isolation time in 2020. Nothing like a song about space travel to get you away from reality. I always loved songs about space travel and the metaphors that came along with them. From David Bowie's "Space Oddity" to Elton John's "Rocket man" and TheFatRat "MAYDAY". Here's my own version of it with the help of Mara.

Here's a song that's very special to Mara and I. We always felt the deep emotional significance of this song. Even though I initially wrote the song during the pandemic and before the chaos of May 2020, we were very tempted to release it that summer amongst the chaos. We felt that maybe in our little contribution, we could bring peace and remind people to love. Enjoy the song:

"You're not real" is probably my favorite song that Mara Zal LadyJane and I (Dee) did. It was also one of two songs I first wrote and handed off to Mara. It evolved a million times in instrumentation but the energy, the lyrics and the vibe of the song was always dark. I remember doing the instrumental part and when Mara asked me for some sort of melody and lyrics, I got a microphone and just started singing stuff. In my mind, Mara was probably going to change it, but then she came back and was like "hey, I like these lyrics". So then we built on those first words and melody that just streamed out of my mouth. The lyrics are me talking to a narcissistic that I've outsmarted. 😉
