These days š ļø
8 years (and counting!) of absolute nonsense š
I always thought I was a dancer in another life and helps me live my dreams in this one.
Thanks Sarah (and Julianne and Liam) and everyone who indulges my crazy ideas! Check out for more pics and videos of today's performance (record breaking this year!) š©·
Grateful for these last two months.
These rockstars let me tag along their campaigns and I've watched so many folks in Somersworth and Rochester get inspired by what's possible in their community.
These two have shown me what it means to love your town, love your neighbors, and love the place you're in. As mayors, they would break a cycle of status quo governance that has been around for so long we just don't know there's any other way to do things. I'm voting for and supporting a new way.
If you reside in Somersworth or Rochester, check out Crystal Paradis' and Palana Hunt-Hawkins' campaigns for mayor and make a plan to vote tomorrow (Tuesday Nov 2!)

If you're looking for some hope and inspiration in these days, this is the best 2 minutes you'll watch this cycle.
Everybody say Happy Birthday Ed! šš¾
Knowing you has been such a joy and a blessing. You have given and taught me so much in our friendship. Forever inspired and energized by your spirit and generosity. Here's to another incredible year! ā¤ļø

Incredible to get this kind of candor from Sununu.
Turns out they rejected my unanimous nomination to the Recovery Council because of my politics, not because they had any plans to add diverse voices to the board.
'They deserve a voice': John Burns of SOS resigns from Sununu's recovery council John Burns resigned from the NH Recovery Friendly Workplace Advisory Council citing disappointment in the governor not adding BIPOC and LGBTQ voices.
For those still making up their minds about Somersworth's mayoral race, I hope you'll take a moment to read and share the words of my father, our former mayor.
On a personal note, he taught me what public service can look like when one puts the needs of others above one's self and it's wonderful to see him welcoming the next generation with such an inspirational tone.
Lincoln Soldati: My endorsement of Crystal Paradis for mayor of Somersworth My wife and I have known Crystal Paradis for many years and watched her commit herself to service across this state.

Living sober for 11 years this month. Or as I like to call it, living.
Being in long term recovery isn't about my last sip or my worst experience. It's about recovering parts of me I always wanted to feel, express, and share. It's about being the first on the dance floor, confident in new circles, adventurous in new spaces, vulnerable and present with my friends and family. These things didn't come naturally 11 years ago, but I've slowly recovered them. Living substance free is a continual practice and now I wouldn't have it any other way.
You better believe I am!
I'm going ALL IN for !
This is Rochester's moment y'all.

Emmett Soldati reflects after losing bid for chair of NH Democratic Party He ran what he called a "Local First" platform for NHDP chair, encouraging an āup-ballotā approach.
Four months ago we started this campaign w/ a simple idea to grow our party: everyone is invited.
That simple but powerful premise has reached every corner of this state and inspired so many to believe in their own potential and that of their community.
Congrats to Ray Buckley for winning another term in this record setting election! Grateful for the opportunity to lift up voices across our state that share our values.
I am feeling so proud. The support of all of you is a sign that we have so much energy in this Party, and that's what we need in the road ahead.
Special shout-out to my partner in this adventure, Eric Schildge When I met Eric, he helped transform that small spark into a robust plan + vision for our whole state.
As for what comes next? I'm ready to build from the ground up to secure a brighter future for all Granite Staters. Who's ready to start making a difference in their local community?

Local First Celebration
Last week the New Hampshire Democratic Party's Task Force released their report on the 2020 electionānotably we are the only state where majorities in both chambers (+ Exec Council) flipped blue to red, even though NH supported Biden and our federal delegation.
While the Task Force was actively reaching out to constituents, activists, and elected leaders throughout the state, our campaign for a approach to growing our party was also on the trail. To date, Iāve met with 57 town and county democratic committees, which included over 1000 Democrats.
After reviewing the report, there were 43 recommendations from the Task Force committee that align with, or are addressed by my strategic plan. Notably, the two main themes that came up more than any other topic are the need for messaging, and providing local support.
As Iāve been connecting with Democrats throughout the state, Iāve laid out plans to craft and deploy a credible, consistent, and compelling message for our party, and to strengthen and invest in every community, every year. But thereās something deeper here.
These concepts are intertwined. Folks ask, āhow do we invest in every community?ā While Iāve spoken about the need for a finance director & statewide donor outreach program, the financial resources arenāt the only tool to spur activity at the local level.
A credible, consistent and compelling message *is* local support. If we speak to fair public education funding, end the prohibition on cannabis, support reproductive healthcare access & demand cleaner air, water & land, these messages have the potential to connect local communitiesābecause they matter to local communities.
The best way to show up for our smaller, rural, or less active communities is to make sure their needs, interests, and voices are represented in our platform, and make sure our platform is put to work. This is how we build not just a bigger party, but a stronger and more connected party: by activating folks who donāt see or hear themselves in our party and who donāt see New Hampshire issues in our message. The way to unify our party and build momentum is speaking to what our party can do for our state, not to simply attack those who run against our candidates.
If our party wants to win votes in NH, then we have to put NH back into the NHDP. We need to be talking about NH values, NH issues, and lifting up NH voices.
State parties across the country are beginning to recognize that winning at the top means building from the bottom. Here in NH it means speaking to small rural spaces & mid-sized cities that make NH magnificent but need our politicsāand our policiesāto tap into our true potential.
Thatās how I plan to lead. If you want to join me, chip in a few dollars or add your voice here: www.emmettsoldati.com/get-involved

In 2 weeks our party will convene to determine who will lead the New Hampshire Democratic Party into the future. Excited to announce another 20 members of the State Committee who have made their support of our campaign public, including State Senator, Suzanne Prentiss
Read her full statement:
"I am proud to endorse Emmett Soldati in his campaign to be the next Chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party. At the core of this important decision were two factors: First, I believe in Emmett and his bold and inclusive vision for the future of the NH Democratic Party. His Local First, ten-year Strategic Plan lays out the necessary steps for us to build a strong and sustainable Democratic Party in terms of fundraising, local organizing, effective messaging, and collaborative leadership.
And second, my constituents have made it clear that Emmett's vision and plan for our party reflects their experiences, concerns, and hopes for the future of our party. Having supporters activated and reaching out in this campaign is a glimpse into what kind of energy and engagement we can expect with Emmett as Chair. As their representative, I have promised to listen and respond to my constituents, and this endorsement represents my commitment to keeping that promise. Emmett has made that same promise to the State Committee and every Democrat in our state. He is ready to lead."
These folks are among the 200+ activists, elected leaders, and state committee members that have voiced their support for our campaign. When we bring everyone in and make them feel welcome, we have the best strategy to be competitive everywhere.
The NH Democratic Party can transform our politics by reflecting the lived experiences of communities of color in our state.
That includes how we advocate for and conduct our first in the nation primary.
Emmett Soldati: A fresh defense of NH's primary status NEW HAMPSHIREās first-in-the-nation (FITN) presidential primary is under heavy scrutiny. A major argument against FITN is New Hampshireās lack of racial diversity. We are a small state, and, according to

Thank you Charlie! Our Party is stronger when we connect communities from every corner of our state, and those active in the North Country like Charlie are key to building a bigger-tent, local first future for the NH Democratic Party.
NH is filled with small, magnificent spaces. A local first future means including the voices of rural NH as we build a bigger party. Thank you for your support, Knute!
As NH DEMs begins to wrap its head around why things didn't go so well for the state and local folks -- especially regarding messaging in rural NH -- in the last cycle, I find myself looking ahead to how we might benefit from a different perspective when it comes to leadership at the very top.
I think it is REALLY important for there to be options when we choose leaders. I don't know when it last was the case that someone ran against the present chair of the state party.
While Mr. Buckley has done so much in the many years he's been leading, I have found his vision these last few years lacking a bigger view of things: In short: We need a plan for how to win in rural NH.
I think Mr. Soldati could be what we need. Emmett Soldati for NH
