I gasped and glared at him. He had this arrogant look on his face and I almost smirked but oh my God.... He's the prince!

"I'm sure you aren't deaf when I asked you to apologise! " The other girl said and I quickly bowed.

" Sorry your highness!" I said and kept my eyes down.

The prince folded his arms still glaring at me.

"Let's go now!" The girl snapped and I quickly followed behind, not daring to look at him in the phone.

I scoffed as I watched her walkaway.

Guess she didn't know I'm not her mate. What a dunce.

Anyway, I walked off into the beautiful street of Papanga.

That's me. I prefer my normal life to myself but my parents wouldn't hear of it.

They would always preach royalty to me. Many people would never recognize me so it made it just to perfect for me to stroll around the way I want.

I always wondered what my brother have against Arturo.

He's always warning me against him but really I find Arturo amazing.

He's cute and so sweet but we are only friends though so why dues it bother him when he calls me?
I wondered to myself.

Mom came into the verandah and I quickly looked away.

It was very obvious she had started looking for her son.

"And where's your brother!" Mom snapped.

She's always snapping when angrily.

I shrugged. "He's gone out mom. Dint worry about him. Alejandro is no longer a kid." I said but I made a mistake with that.

Mom turned furiously and called three of the guards.
"I want my son brought here and right now!" Mom screamed.

The guards scampered away while I winced.

Another wow escaped my lips when I was finally taken to the maids room.

It was trice as big as mom's cottage in Elias.

Remembering mom brought back the way she had cried when I was leaving.

I just had to look for a job to keep body and soul together.

So when Mom's neighbor, madam Lana told us about the maid job at the big castle, I had no choice but to apply and here I am!

And I'm beginning to like this whole thing. Different types of food everywhere in the kitchen and even in our room here.

It was so big.

I ran to an empty bed and flung myself down on it but something disastrous happened.

Immediately I did,the bed frame all came crushing down and just then I realized it hadn't been fixed tightly.

I made it a total mess!

I tried standing up but the bed spread made me slipped off.
I landed on my back and the standing fan fell off and on top of the glass closet.

It shattered into pieces.
Oh no!

I'm just maid and it's my first time here! What the hell have I gotten myself into?

Gosh.... Footsteps outside the door.

That must be the Queen herself or the prince whom I've already occupied a space in his black book.

Or probably the king himself!!

One secret I'm not telly yet..... I'm a clumsy freak! 😭

😘 Prince Alejandro😘

"I told you I don't want anyone coming into my study. What do you want?" I asked without glancing up at Morena.

I would always know when she comes in with that annoying perfume of hers.

Sometimes I wonder what really she's doing staying in the castle.

"My prince! I figured out you haven't eaten for the whole day and decided to bring you...."

I dropped the book in my noisily before glancing up finally. " You are Leticia's maid and you are supposed to be with her not me. Why are you looking out for me too? Is there something I don't know?" I asked.

Morena's face sharpened as she glared at me. She dropped the tray of food on the table before bowing.

"I'm sorry my prince. I will leave now. Please, eat your food." She said and disappeared.

I breathed in a sigh of relieve but my peace had already been disturbed and I wanted nothing but to get out of the palace.

I dressed up casually before stepping out of my room. As I walked down the hallway, I thought about myself.

Am I really living a normal life? No, I'm not. I'm living a life full of unnecessary affection and care.

All my twenty five years on earth,I've lived under the shadows of my mother...and father,king Arturo.

King of Papanga kingdom.

I have an only sister I love so much with all my heart and she's the only one who isn't bothered about being caged inside the castle.

For me,I'm gonna take some days off and spend time somewhere else.

No one's gonna stop me from doing that not my father the king.

As soon as I arrived downstairs,my mood became worst, seeing the strangers around.

It annoyed me so much and I couldn't wait to get away for the weekend.

One of the maids mistakingly brushed past me. Agitated, I pushed her. "Are you blind? Dear Lord.... I could have slapped you!" I thundered.

The maid glared up with teary eyes. " I'm... sorry... I felt dizzy..."

"Well I don't care. Don't touch me that way. " I warned then marched out of the palace.

Outside,I sighted Leticia sitting and making a call. My mood softened a little bit. Who is kid sister calling?

"Hi bro." She greeted once she was through with the phone call.

I cleared my throat. "Mind telling me who that was?"

"Castro. Why?"

" Wait a minute. What you doing with that callous fool?" I asked.

Leticia frowned. " Sorry? Look,Castro is just a friend, really. No strings attached."

I sat down beside her. " Leticia..I don't want you falling for the wrong guy."

She laughed and glared at me." I'm not a baby, Alejandro. And besides..I can't fall in love with him...he's just a friend."

I shrugged and looked around. " I'm gonna go out soon and don't you dare tell Mom about it." I warned.

Then we shared a laughter and continued talking.

The castle was as big as I expected. I felt anxious cos it was my first time coming into the castle.

I've been replaced with a maid though my mom didn't want me to take up the maid job but I just had to so we could survive.

"Hey. Hold on a sec. Who are you?"

I turned sharply and glared at the intruder. She's probably a maid too but I guess with higher level.

"I'm Micaela. The new maid sent here." I replied.

She sneered. "You can't come in here looking like that! I'm the chief maid here and I take care of newbies like you. Follow me."

She commanded and snapped around then walked towards a building.

I frowned slightly and followed. What a rude welcome.

On a second thought,I stopped following her and hide behind a tree. The sight of the castle is breathtaking. I can't just stop looking. Not now.

Then I made a big mistake by entering a large cage. I heard a growl and flinched. Then turned only to see a huge black fog glaring fiercely at me.

I screamed and fled..but what happened?

It ran after me!!

I screamed even more louder and ran as fast as I could.

I picked up my phone and dialled a line as I walked towards the gate. "You are such a clown,Max. Let's hang out. I can't bear the boredom of this place.......

The bumping came all too sudden and my cellphone flipped off.

"Help me!! Help me!!" A girl screamed and ran to my back, holding so tight I felt like snapping.

A dog came along. "Hey Bailey! You chasing a girl! You pervert!" I scolded and Immediately,my dog ran off.

Then I swung around and stared at the girl behind me. "And who are you to have my dog run after you like that? Are you that pretty?"

She cocked an eyebrow and glared at me. " Your dog practically ran after me! You should apologise!" She yelled.

" What? Excuse me?" I said, bewildered. Does she even know who I am? "You don't talk to me that way maid." I said stiffly.

I laughed and glared at him. Who could he possibly be? Maybe one of the guards?

"I don't really give a damn who you are. Just tell your dog not to run after me again!" I snapped.

He laughed with amusement and glared at me.

" My prince!!"

Someone yelled from behind. I turned and saw the previous girl rushing up to us.

Prince? Who is she calling a prince? Oh no....I hope it isn't what I'm thinking..

"You...rude brat? How dare you stand and talk with our prince that way! Apologize. Now!" She said.

I gasped and glared at the guy who in turn gave me a dangerous look.

Oh no.... I just had a clash with the prince of the castle! I'm so dead!
