Sann Odea is an Amsterdam-based label that focuses on experimental electronic music for listening and dancing. Since its foundation in 2018, several artists came together who find each other in their vision and creativity. Their style is characterized by abstract sounds that are put together in a grounded and accessible manner. With multiple releases ahead, the label continues to build a defined platform in Amsterdam.

Very happy to announce we’re doing a bi-monthly radio show at Echobox Radio called ‘Sann Odea Syncs’, starting today!
Every two months we’ll sink 😉 below sea level to broadcast our favorite artists and friends, featuring an hour-long of sounds in sync with a unique artwork of the artist's choice made by Brett Clouser.
As a label we think the combination between music and visual art is important, and by letting the artist translate it into music, we aim to amplify both.

The Sann Odea co-owner presents his first-ever release with four captivating electronic tracks that keep you on the edge of your seat. They embody the change and development the Amsterdam-based producer and performer experienced while he sought new sounds and ways of expression. The result is an interpretation of finding a new place, whether it’s in your mind or the outside world.

Phototropism is the biological term for the directional response that allows plants to
grow or bend towards, or in some cases away from a source of light. And just as
plants, his debut EP, grows and bends from soothing ambients towards more percussion-driven compositions that stimulate movement and could be taken straight to the dance floor. Filled with anticipation, colorful synth melodies make way for rhythmic drums and
ominous textures, only for it to sweep back to its original state of peace and calmness.
