This week’s is Erica Palmer - who has worked as a surgeon throughout the pandemic.

Erica and her 3-month-old son became victims of physical and mental abuse which ultimately led to the child care system placing her son in foster care. Throughout all of this, she continued to attend to her patients every day, ultimately becoming a victim of COVID-19 which has led to long-term symptoms.

We want to celebrate and honor Erica for all her sacrifices.

This week's is Emily Grigsby - Texas nurse and mom who stayed behind to help her elderly neighbors during winter storm Uri. The 39-year-old nurse tended to the elderly residents in her neighborhood including bringing three meals a day to one neighbor who uses a wheelchair.

"I think the situation could have been far worse had we not stayed. I think knowing your community, knowing the needs, being able to respond is really important when it comes to an event like this."

This device was created by physicians who wanted to give patients in isolation the ability to communicate with loved ones. This was created out of love and empathy. One of their mothers recently became infected with Covid and has now died. They used this device at the end for his mom. When my grandmother was diagnosed he was one of the first to offer to help. Good people do good things. ❤️
