Anyone who knows me knows how much I LOVE music. Her songs have inspired so many things in my life since I first her on the radio. Her music is literally the playlist to my life.

I bought front row tickets last year on presale with the soul goal to get this amazing artist one of my hats that I make…clearly the women who inspired most of them should own right?!? 😂 This was my goal for this year to get my custom hat into her hands. What an honor would be!

Mission accomplished! I’m still on cloud nine that I was able to gift a hat that I made from a piece of Australian wool into this beautiful work of art honoring my favorite song of hers.

I woke up at the crack of dawn today to get set-up before work. I’m so grateful to my co-workers, family and friends (especially you Desert'N'TwineStudio) this morning for all the help, calming vibes and support. It really does take a village sometimes and I am so grateful for mine.

All set-up for this month and ready to go at Mortimer Farms. I can’t wait to see you there.

Next to being creative… hiking & exploring, the beautiful state of Arizona is my next favorite thing. The past couple years I have gotten away from this hobby & lately my soul is craving it.
So this weekend I’m setting aside some time to recharge my batteries & get out in nature to soak up some vitamin D.

Material is everything….over the past six months I have been practicing on different materials for burning hats. The best results I found are on natural 100% wool.

While it can be done on polyester blend hats, it’s not my best recommendation. The burning of this material can release a chemical that is not safe to breathe in. So if you choose to burn on blend hats, I highly recommend wearing a respirator.

It becomes more of a melted plastic and corrodes up the burning tool or brand.
