The day we chatted sh*t with the awesome Paul Whitehouse for his documentary Our Troubled Rivers. He looks at the impact water companies have on our rivers and seas and it’s really worth a watch. It’s shocking when you see what’s happening all around the UK. Well done to everyone involved and thank you Paul for highlighting the issue. Available on iPlayer and BBC2 8pm - Sun 5th & 12th.

We see these forts silhouetted on the horizon every day so it was incredible to get up close to them on the
The Maunsell Forts were armed towers built during the Second World War to help defend the UK.
Greta (pronounced ‘Greeta’) is a Thames sailing barge built in 1892. She’s the oldest Dunkirk Little Ship still working, having been involved with the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940.
Big thanks to Steve and crew. Boat doggies for cuddles and a lovely gang to spend the afternoon with. ⛵️

A muchly needed couple of days out of office. We love to walk and we’ve been doing sections of the coast path whenever we can. This section was Dungeness to Hythe over two days.
We jumped on the little train at Hythe back to New Romney - so cute 🚂
The Sound Mirrors… these were created before radar to detect the sound of incoming enemy airplanes 🤯
Yesterday we had a tour of Prospect Cottage - Derek Jarman’s home and workspace in Dungeness. It felt a huge privilege to see his space as he left it and a true insight into his life.
Dungeness is a unique place - a beautiful shingle desert where time seems to stand still. Overlooked by the power station which makes it even more surreal.
Did you know that instead of coastal erosion, Dungeness has been building up over the years due to onshore drifting caused by the meeting of two currents which shifts the shingle southwards.
The rain cleared, the sun set, the beasts came out to play.
A completely magical day yesterday celebrating birthday, The Blessing of the Beasts and a full moon swim.
Bonus treat seeing Jupiter’s four moons through a telescope 🔭 - incredible!
Autumn, we’re not ready for you just yet. Grateful for this bonus beach day ☀️⛵️🏖
