Unfortunately for the moment I just don’t have the time to dedicate to Thermomix.

Sweet potato doughnuts!

These were made for a school snack this week and the kids (and adults) love them. Of course our boys have no idea they have sweet potato in them 🤣

The recipe says to put nuts on top, but to make them school friendly we did sprinkles instead. I also recommend halving the sugar - especially if you do have a topping on them. The recipe said it makes 12 but we got 17 donuts (some were eaten before the pic was taken).

Thai Coconut Chicken Salad

Tonight we had Roast Beef for dinner and by using the Meater+ I was able to make sure the meat was cooked just the way we like it!

Meringue grazing plates seemed to be a bit of a craze this year - so I thought I would try it myself for a get together today.

It was definitely a hit!!!

Meringues, caramel sauce, berry coulis and lemon curd were all made in the Thermomix using recipes from Cookidoo. Plus I chopped the chocolate and whipped the cream in the thermi.

The hardest part was choosing which flavour combo to try 😁

Just made lemon curd for a meringue grazing plate I am putting together tomorrow. This recipe is the EASIEST recipe ever!

Literally put the ingredients all together in the bowl (there’s 4 ingredients). Start thicken mode and walk away - that’s it!

**This guided recipe is for the TM6 only as it utilises the thicken mode.

Gingerbread House

My boys have been asking to make a gingerbread house for ages! I don’t eat gingerbread and I’ve never made a gingerbread house before but we decided today was the day.

My boys LOVED doing this!! It is definitely not the best decorated house going around but they are so proud of it so that is all that matters 😁

Another Skinnymixers recipe from the new Healthy Mix V book - Healthy Jelly Slice!

This recipe actually gets you to make the jelly on top from fresh strawberries - no packet jelly involved 😁

Cheese & Bacon rolls

After chatting with a friend today who mentioned the price of cheese and bacon rolls at Bakers Delight, I thought it was time to finally give this recipe a go.

We were making home made pizzas for dinner and the ingredient list is very similar so I thought why wait - so I made them tonight 😁

They smell great and look good too but best of all is the money saved compared to buying them from Bakers Delight (my total cost in ingredients for these was just 25c per roll!!! 😱)

This recipe says it makes 6-12. I went with 6 but should have gone with 12 - they are huge!! 🤣

We have been busy trying out lots of recipes from the new Skinnymixers Healthy Mix V book.

I have posted this recipe before but wanted to share again. My boys were given the choice to make something on the weekend and this was their choice - Apple Tea Cakes.

Our youngest son decided he wanted strawberries and not apples. Easy! I just sliced up some strawberries to add to the top of his and he was happy 😃

This recipe makes two tea cakes so we always only make half - although with how quickly it gets eaten maybe I should make two!

It’s a great morning or afternoon tea snack if you have visitors coming over

A couple of weeks ago I got my Mix Shop vacuum sealer and bags.

I love how compact it is and also how it is helping with food storage. I had a packet of vacuum sealed gnocchi that I didn’t need all of - so I just put the remainder in the mix shop airtight bags and vacuum sealed it back up.

Same with the salmon. Only one person in our house eats salmon so I was able to vacuum seal the left over fillet to use a couple of days later.

Tomorrow night I’ll be using the sealer and bags to cook our sous vide steak in the Thermomix.

It does take a little bit of getting use to the first time you use it but once you get the knack it is so easy!
