OUR STORY | Luis Edgar Cuzco, “Edgar” to his clients, began upholstery work in his hometown of Ecuador at 17 years old.
In 2002, he leased a small warehouse in Brooklyn, NY. In that empty room, Edgar dreamed of more. The very first project Edgar and his brother Fabian undertook together was a simple chair. The two began reupholstering what was the beginning of their destiny and delivered it in exchange for another reupholstered piece of furniture. Fast forward years later, Edgar had built a thriving upholstery company creating custom pieces he sketched up alongside talented interior designers.
Today, Edgar’s reputation has left a mark on elite designers, loyal customers and many employees who learned the craft through his expertise. Edgar left behind the legacy of a strong work ethic, creativity and talent to create quality furniture. Today, his daughter keeps the legacy alive and honors his vision through Essie and Ellie Interiors.
