What a treat! Before a wonderful performance of dance selections from choreographer Wayne mcGregor I saw an expert maker from Freed creating a pair of pointe shoes live in front of me :D
You can look forward to special extras like these when you go to dedicated student Amphitheatre performances at the Royal opera house London! Be sure to go early -you never know what you will see :)

And the next ballet student amphi performance is Mayerling on 2nd May

Knocked Back in the USSR: How Shostakovich fell foul of the Soviet musical establishment Shostakovich was the golden boy of Soviet art in the 1920s, but by The Nose's stage premiere in 1930, the tide was beginning to turn.
Hi everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself as the new Royal Opera house ambassador for Loughborough :) Hannah did a fantastic job last year so I hope to do just as well. If you have any questions about the student scheme or anything you want to know more about -don't hesitate to ask! Like this page to receive updates on upcoming events at the opera house and at cinemas near you, Odeon cinema In Loughborough town centre is streaming some live performances from the Opera house this season -the next will be comical opera Cosi fan tutte next Monday the 17th October, well worth £5!
