Prodotto da Zippo, per la più grande industria Militare e Civile, leader nella progettazione e realizzazione di Moduli per la simulazione di volo dei piloti, la "Link Flight Simulation Division" così conosciuta nel 1978, quando, oltre che a festeggiare il suo cinquantesimo anno di attività, dal primo prototipo ad aria compressa del 1928 di ED Link (inventore) con numero 192979, iniziò nello stesso anno la realizzazione del primo modulo di simulazione di volo presso il Jhonson Space Senter dello Shuttle, dando il via all'uso dei Computer e al volo aerospaziale come da sua prima immagine.

Produced by Zippo, for the largest Military and Civil industry, leader in the design and creation of Modules for the flight simulation of pilots, the "Link Flight Simulation Division" as it was known in 1978, when, in addition to celebrating its fiftieth year of activity, from the first compressed air prototype of 1928 by ED Link (inventor) with number 192979, in the same year the construction of the first flight simulation module began at the Johnson Space Senter of the Shuttle, giving rise to the use of computers and to aerospace flight as per its first image.

Verso la fine del 1956, lo zippo slim, uscito agli inizi dello stesso anno, viene modificato nel suo inserto, più specificamente nella sua testa (chiama Cobra per la sua forma chiusa e le rietranze ai lati) dove viene rimossa la linguetta metallica di protezione al surriscaldamento della pietra e spostata di 1/32 di pollice la miccia, verso la pietra in selce come da foto dimostrativa.
Il fondo rimane invariato con 4 buchi e 4 buchi fino alla fine del 1957.

Zippo Slim late 1956 and 1957, all original.
Towards the end of 1956, the zippo slim, released at the beginning of the same year, was modified in its insert, more specifically in its head (called Cobra due to its closed shape and the recesses on the sides) where the protective metal tab was removed to overheating of the stone and moved the fuse by 1/32 of an inch towards the flint stone as shown in the demonstration photo.
The back remains unchanged with 4 holes and 4 holes until the end of 1957.

Possedeva una linguetta metallica a protezione che appoggiava alla pietra focaia per evitarne il surriscaldamento, ciò provocava però problemi dopo un po' che si usava nell'accesione, venne sostituito in corso d'anno dal modello senza più la linguetta metallica e spostando lo stoppino di 1/32 di pollice lontano dalla ruota.
Modello tutto originale con ancora il suo stoppino dell'epoca.

Zippo Slim first issue 1956 (Cobra head) model made only before the end of 1956.
It had a protective metal tongue which rested on the flint to prevent overheating, however this caused problems after a while which was used in the sense and was replaced during the year by the model without the metal tongue and by moving the wick 1/32 inch away from the wheel.
All original model with still its period wick.

Zippo Pubblicitario per Music by Muzak del 1960 tutto originale, col suo inserto prodotto da fine 1958 ad inizio 1964.
Music by Muzak è un marchio americano di musica da sottofondo, suonata nei negozi, centri commerciali, o in altri esercizi pubblici e privati, allo scopo di intrattenere il cliente o le persone all'interno. Il nome Muzak è in uso dal 1934 ma è stato ufficialmente registrato nel Dicembre del 1954 come Muzak LLC.
La sua popolarità rimase elevata fino a metà degli anni 60, il Presidente Eisenhower fu il primo Presidente a pompare Muzak, possedeva il franchise ad Austin ed in Texas.
Come riferito anche la NASA ha utilizzato Muzak in molte sue missioni spaziali per calmare gli astronauti e per occuparli in momenti di inattività.

Its popularity remained high until the mid-1960s, President Eisenhower was the first president to pump Muzak owned franchises to Austin and Texas.
As reported, NASA has also used Muzak in many of its space missions to calm the astronauts and to occupy them in moments of inactivity

Zippo Slim metà del 1958 tutto originaie, fatto per la Società Petrolifera Humble Oil and Refining Co. con inciso, su d'avanti, il suo primo marchio a due colori nero ed arancione, che muterà colori e proprietà a settembre del 1959 e sul retro vi è inciso il nome del suo geologo Robert (Bob) Brandt il quale nel 1957 collaborò con gli scienziati della Humble Oil alla pubblicazione di uno studio che monitorava l'enorme quantità di anidride carbonica dalla combustione di fossili.
Da qui, Exxon (la nuova proprietà) che ne era a conoscenza, fece partire i primi studi sul riscaldamento globale.

Zippo Slim mid 1958 all original, made for the Humble Oil and Refining Co. Petroleum Company engraved, on the front, its first two-color black and orange logo, which will change colors and properties in September 1959 and on the on the back is engraved the name of its geologist Robert (Bob) Brandt who in 1957 collaborated with the scientists of Humble Oil in the publication of a study that monitored the enormous amount of carbon dioxide from the combustion of fossils.
From here, Exxon (the new property) who was aware of it, started the first studies on global warming.

Zippo Slim secondo semestre del 1958 (4. e 3.) tutto originale, certificato dalla data incisa per l'evento del 2-3 Agosto, per una partita di golf al Beaver Valley in Pennsylvania, dove agli ospiti partecipanti vennero forniti degli zippo come souvenir delle due giornate.
Periodo che conferma l'inizio della pubblicità sui serbatoi con la scritta sempre orizzontale, posizionata sopra: "For Best Result use Zippo Flints and Fluid", da cui possiamo attribuirla anche per il serbatoio del modello regular.

Zippo Slim second semester of 1958 (4. and 3.) all original, certified by the date engraved for the event of August 2-3, for a game of golf at the Beaver Valley in Pennsylvania, where the participating guests were supplied with zippos as souvenirs of the two days.
Period that confirms the start of advertising on tanks with the always horizontal writing, positioned above: "For Best Result use Zippo Flints and Fluid", from which we can also attribute it to the tank of the regular model.

Altro grande cliente di Zippo fu la Famiglia Copley, proprietaria della Copley Press inc. che per oltre un ventennio pubblicizzava la sua rivista Copley Newspaper utilizzando anche gli zippo slim, con d'avanti recante il marchio e sul retro la scritta in corsivo Newspaper.
Tranne, per quelli che regalava ai sui giornalisti e direttori, come questo Slim di inizio 1958, tutto originale e restaurato nel suo colore nero mat, fatto fare da Zippo per Robert W. Richards capo dell'ufficio di Washington già dal 1944, ex Ufficuale dei Servizi strategici, assunto dal Colonello Ira Copley.
Fu nel suo ufficio di Washington nel 1953 dove si incontrarono Eisenhower e Ira Copley per delle strategie di informazioni, come poi venne ufficializzato nelle inchieste di spionaggio del 1970....lol❤️🔥🚬

Another major Zippo customer was the Copley Family, owners of Copley Press inc. which for over twenty years advertised its Copley Newspaper magazine also using the zippo slim, with the brand name on the front and the inscription Newspaper in italics on the back.
Except, for those he gave to his journalists and directors, like this Slim from the beginning of 1958, all original and restored in its matt black colour, made by Zippo for Robert W. Richards, head of the Washington office since 1944, ex of Strategic Services, hired by Colonel Ira Copley.
It was in his Washington office in 1953 where Eisenhower and Ira Copley met for information strategies, as later made official in the 1970 espionage investigations....lol❤️🔥🚬

L'incisione stupenda in tinta rossa da l'interpretazione di un evento storico importantissimo per il Mondo.
Il primo gennaio (le forbici) del 1951 tutto il Mondo ( il cerchio), adotta il Calendario Gregoriano (100% in 50 scritto nella clessidra nel cerchio), come da volontà divina, già instaurato da Papa Gregorio XIII nel 1582 (il lampo che lo attraversa).
Le iniziali H.A.L. del nome, sono state aggiunte in un secondo momento, non da Zippo.

The stupendous red-tinted engraving gives the interpretation of a very important historical event for the world.
On January 1st (the scissors) of 1951, the whole world (the circle) adopted the Gregorian Calendar (100% in 50 written in the hourglass in the circle), as per divine will, already established by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582 (the flash which crosses it).
The initials H.A.L. of the name, were added later, not by Zippo.

Zippo fatto per Cummins Engines pubblicitario del 1952 in acciaio cromato, mod. F largo a testa piatta, tutto originale, anno in cui la Cummins inventò il motore turbo diesel, che usava i gas di scarico per far funzionare il compressore a turbina, il dispositivo aumentò la potenza di ogni motore del 50% senza aumentarne il consumo. Nello stesso anno Cummins portò il motore ad Indianapolis al Motor Speedway su auto da pista, per puro scopo dimostrativo. Ne produrrono talmente tanti che alla fine del 1960 il 60% dei mezzi pesanti degli USA era dotato del motore Cummins Engines per la loro longevità e potenza....

Zippo made for Cummins Engines ad 1952 in chromed steel, mod. F wide flathead, all original, the year in which Cummins invented the turbo diesel engine, which used exhaust gases to operate the turbine compressor, the device increased the power of each engine by 50% without increasing consumption. That same year Cummins took the engine to Indianapolis at the Motor Speedway in track cars, for demonstration purposes only. They produced so many that by the end of 1960, 60% of heavy vehicles in the USA were equipped with the Cummins Engines engine due to their longevity and power....

Zippo 1956 tutto originale "UMWA" (United Mine Workers of America) 42nd Convetion, in Cincinnati.
Donato ai Delegati dell'UMWA nell'ottobre del 1956, ne esiste altra versione senza il logo per i partecipanti iscritti al sindacato dei minatori.
Da questa convenzione si diede origine alla adesione e al diritto al sistema sanitario per i minatori in tutto il paese.

Zippo Penn Station per Pennsylvania Central primo esemplare del 1968 Slim Nuovo, anno di nascita dalla fusione della Pennsylvania Railroad con la sua contendente New York Central, recante, incisa, la data del 5 marzo 1964, anno di inizio della ricostruzione della stazione di New York e dell'adicente Teatro Madison Square Garden, che terminarono proprio nel1968, dopo che la bellissima e storica stazione di New York, fu fatta demolire nel tardo 1963.
Ne esiste anche altro esemplare, nuovo ma del 1969 con data incisa e poi subito tolta nello stesso anno come da atro esemplare, versioni solo Slim....come da foto e ricerca fatta...

Zippo Penn Station for Pennsylvania Central first example of 1968 Slim Nuovo, year of birth from the merger of the Pennsylvania Railroad with its contender New York Central, bearing, engraved, the date of March 5, 1964, the year in which the reconstruction of the New York station began and the adjacent Madison Square Garden Theater, which finished in 1968, after the beautiful and historic New York station was demolished in late 1963.
There is also another example, new but from 1969 with date engraved and then immediately removed in the same year as from another example, Slim versions only....as shown in photos and research done...

Zippo Piper; aerei da turismo del 1973 ultimo anno a smalto tutto rosso, in seguito divenne rosso e blue, modello rarissimo e personalizzato da Zippo nelle iniziali del pilota che lo possedeva e dallo stesso pilota, aggiungendo la pin in argento placcato oro 9k del Corpo dei Marines dove evidentemente aveva o svolgeva ancora servizio nel 1973.
Anni in cui Piper aprì lo stabilimento a Lakeland (Florida) nel 1972 e vi costruì il Piper PA-31 Navajo, il Chieftain e il Cheyenne III, fino al 1991 con aeroporto municipale di Lakeland in sede.
Lo zippo si presenta con normali segni di uso ma perfetto in tutte le sue parti meccaniche ed originali.

Zippo Piper; touring aircraft of 1973 last year in all red enamel, later it became red and blue, a very rare model and customized by Zippo in the initials of the pilot who owned it and by the pilot himself, adding the 9k gold plated silver pin of the Marine Corps where evidently had or was still in service in 1973.
Years in which Piper opened the plant in Lakeland (Florida) in 1972 and built the Piper PA-31 Navajo, the Chieftain and the Cheyenne III there, until 1991 with Lakeland Municipal Airport on site.
The zippo shows normal signs of use but perfect in all its mechanical and original parts.

Inserto originale in uso un anno prima mod. 1959/63 evidentemente una rimanenza inserito in questo zippo di inizio 1964.
Uno dei mie preferiti in assoluto, unico e quasi impossibile da imitare almeno che non si venga in possesso di uno zippo del 1964 e della ormai rarissima pin della Coca Cola,
acquistato in Inghilterra, da un chitarrista Rock ❤️🔥🚬

zippo 1964 Polished chrome, personalized street art, with the very rare Coca-Cola pin "From Father to Son", welded on the front case and bearing the date of 1964, the year that the house unified the two brands for the secret recipe Coca Cola and Koke .
Original insert in use one year before mod. 1959/63 evidently a remainder inserted in a zippo from the beginning of 1964.
One of my absolute favourites, unique and almost impossible to imitate unless you own a 1964 zippo and the now very rare Coca Cola pin,

Poi ci sono quelli unici...Fratelli Peruzzi del 1960, casse regular in argento 800 tutte lavorate a mano 360° con cerniere originali, in argento 4 barili a guide, con blocco verticale del coperchio, inserti Zippo del 1959/63 il tutto conservati in stato quasi nuovi e nei loro box originali.
Questi modelli hanno il timbro in argento 800 sul fondo della cassa per contraddistinguere le loro casse esclusive dalle imitazioni, timbro che appare dal 1958 al 1973, per quelli fatti precedentemente al 1958, il marchio Peruzzi è inciso all'interno della cassa vicino al marchio 800, se non vi è timbro in nessuna parte della cassa non è un Peruzzi.
Breve storia:
I Fratelli Peruzzi argentieri di Ponte Vecchio in Firenze, uno dei primi marchi registrati in Italia già dal 1860, su grande richiesta americana, nel 1910 aprono la loro filiale a Boston in America dove sforgiano gioielli in argento di squisita manifattura (i più copiati nel Mondo) fino al 1973 anno in cui ritornano in Italia.
Forse non è una coincidenza che nel 1974 la Zippo immette sul mercato il Florentine poi Venetian. Oggi Fratelli Peruzzi è un marchio ancora esistente e operano in Firenze, ordinare dei gioielli così avrebbe un esborso veramente notevole, ma comunque fattibile, basta chiedere.
I due esemplari qua esposti non sono in vendita.

Then there are the unique ones... Fratelli Peruzzi from 1960, regular cases in 800 silver all handcrafted 360° with original hinges, 4 silver barrels with guides, with vertical lid lock, Zippo inserts from 1959/63, all preserved in almost new condition and in their original boxes.
These models have 800 silver stamped on the caseback to distinguish their exclusive cases from knockoffs, stamp appearing from 1958 to 1973, for those made prior to 1958, the Peruzzi mark is engraved inside the case near the 800 mark , if there is no stamp anywhere on the case it is not a Peruzzi.
Short story:
The Fratelli Peruzzi silversmiths of Ponte Vecchio in Florence, one of the first trademarks registered in Italy as early as 1860, following great American demand, in 1910 opened their branch in Boston in America where they produced exquisitely crafted silver jewelery (the most copied in the world ) until 1973 when they return to Italy.
Perhaps it is no coincidence that in 1974 Zippo put the Florentine then Venetian on the market. Today Fratelli Peruzzi is a still existing brand and they operate in Florence, ordering jewels like this would have a truly considerable outlay, but still feasible, just ask.

Zippo del 1957, una mia realizzazione, con saldata la pin originale per il 25th anniversario dalla fondaziobe di Zippo (1932-1957)
L'idea, nasceva dal fatto che questo zippo, presentava sulla cassa anteriore un segno circolare, lasciato da una qualche precedente pin, forse di simbolo massonico, che a quei tempi erano molto diffuse sugli Zippo e sulle giacche.
Il risultato finale a mio giudizio è straordinario, non solo perchè leva quel segno circolare sulla casa che è di grande disturbo visivo, ma restituisce una certa poesia e storia della casa madre. Si presenta in stato perfetto, con il suo serbatoio in uso dal 1953 al 1956 di un anno più vecchio dello zippo, evidentemente uno dei primi emessi nel 1957, a cui fu inserito l'inserto in rimanenza dell'anno prima,
Questo esemplare non è in vendita ed è solo per il mio piacere di averlo fatto e di tenerlo così..❤️🔥

Zippo from 1957, one of my creations, with the original pin welded for the 25th anniversary of the foundation of Zippo (1932-1957)
The idea arose from the fact that this zippo had a circular mark on the front case, left by some previous pin, perhaps a Masonic symbol, which at that time were very common on Zippos and jackets.
In my opinion, the final result is extraordinary, not only because it removes that circular sign on the house which is a great visual disturbance, but it restores a certain poetry and history of the parent company. It is in perfect condition, with its tank in use from 1953 to 1956, one year older than the zippo, evidently one of the first issued in 1957, to which the remaining insert from the previous year was inserted.
This specimen is not for sale and it is only for my pleasure to have made it and to keep it like this..❤️🔥
