Last season we were introduced to a brand new course in Besançon. Fans and riders will undoubtedly remember this first edition, because the mud made the French course a real playground for fans of a tough race. In the women’s race, Lucinda Brand emphasised her top condition by opting for a solo from start to finish. In the men’s race, Eli Iserbyt lit the most fireworks with a number of skids. He fought an exciting battle with Toon Aerts. This season, Besançon is the fourteenth and last race on the programme. Will the decision for the final ranking fall on a tough French course?
