Karamihan sa iilang mga ka*o, katulad ng outbreaks sa mga mink farms sa Amerika at Europa, ay dahil sa exposure ng mga hayop sa isang confirmed or probable COVID positive na tao. Ang mga hayop na naitalang nahawahan na ng virus ay ang mga minks, a*o, pusa, hamsters, rabbits at bats.

Kahit wala po tayong matibay na ebidensya na maaring maipasa ng mga hayop ang COVID sa mga tao, mas mabuti po na patuloy natin siguraduhin ang kalinisan ng ating mga alaga. Kung hindi kailangan, huwag nating ilabas ang ating mga alaga upang maiwasan ang kanilang exposure sa virus. Kumonsulta din po sa inyong mga vets para sa regular check-ups at kung may mga kakaibang simtomas ng kahit na anong sakit ang inyong mga alaga.
