My fourth Dutch pour inspired by Hughes.
It’s time to finish some of these paintings I’ve been working on. On my canvases, I like to use artist grade high gloss varnish for its archival properties. You can get just about as shiney as resin with this finish, but you have to be liberal with its use.
has spoken. Yes, fluid acrylic painting is considered a form of art. Fluid acrylic art is created using acrylic paint that has been diluted with various mediums, water, or other substances to achieve a more liquid or flowing consistency. Artists use these fluid acrylics to create a wide range of abstract or representational artworks. The technique involves pouring, dripping, or otherwise manipulating the paint on a canvas or other surfaces to create unique and visually interesting compositions.
Fluid acrylic art is known for its vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and unpredictable results, making it a popular and expressive form of contemporary art. Many artists and art enthusiasts appreciate the creative possibilities it offers, and it has gained recognition in the art world.
As with any form of art, the value and significance of fluid acrylic paintings can be subjective and depend on individual tastes and preferences. Some artists specialize in fluid acrylic art, while others incorporate it into their work as part of a broader artistic practice. Ultimately, whether something is considered art or not is a matter of personal interpretation and the context within which it is presented.

Edit: well, the cat stepped in them.
Since I can’t pour, I got out the brushes. Coming up with something from nothing isn’t my forte…. But it was fun!
I miss painting creatively. I recently decided to try to sell my house. As with most people, we had a lot of unfinished project, and wanted to put our best foot forward by painting every wall and ceiling. So I put away my supplies in March. I’ll be back though. I hope all three of you are still with me when I do! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Quietly creating….

I haven’t been painting much recently, but I’ve had this idea in my head for several years now. I finally made it happen.
