we're making his shirt in 2 layers- blue then black. so this is the completed blue/under layer! and now im working on patterning the black/outer layer.

FINALLLLY happy final fantasy vii rebirth day everyone 😭🙏🏻✨✨💚 we ended up canceling our trip up to ECCC because the weather for our drive would have been really bad 😭 so we will be home all weekend playing ff7 instead 😂 super bummed to miss eccc but at least we have something to take our minds off it ✨🥲🙏🏻

we need to get some fresh ff7 pics!! we just finished sephiroth's new shoulder armor in time for carrier con next week ✨ so excited to join a big ff7 group with .hime at carriercon!!! 😭💖✨

dion update for wip wednesday ✨🐉🛠️ tunic bottom filigree is done yalllll 😭🙏🏻 a few more details to add and i still need to finish the back closure of the tunic, but the first iteration of dion will be ready for ECCC next weekend!!! i'm going to do his pants, shoes, and spear after eccc lol

how it's made
i traced the filigree from screenshots to make a pattern
the base shape is cut from 2mm foam from
then i added foam clay to that base to build up the dimension
lastly i added all the lil detail with puff paint
then i primed it heavily with *several* layers of flexbond and plastidip to smooth out all the imperfections in the puff paint lol
it's painted with tamiya airbrush acrylic and then black washed and dry brushed to add highlights / contrast on the details ✨
