The reason we wanted to discuss Essential oils first is because you will see them mentioned in majority of our health videos and DIYs.
Essential Oils not only have an amazing aroma, but scientific evidence has shown them to be beneficial for improving HEALTH AND MOOD. Depending on the Essential Oil, they can be used Topical, Ingested, Inhaled/Diffused.
The confusion a lot of people run into with using Essential Oils is that not ALL Essential Oils are created equal. There are very little Standards required to make an essential oil, even if an essential oil is stated as 100% pure. According to Standards, the Oil only needs to be 6% of the actual Plant oil to be able to be labeled as 100% Pure. This can leave you with an Essential Oil that is filled with a lot of fillers or synthetics, which in a sense can actually make it non-beneficial for you. I have encountered many people tell me different prices and places they have purchased their Essential Oils from. Put it this way, it takes 3 pounds of Lavender to make a 15mL bottle of Lavender, 242,000 rose petals to distill approximately 5 mL of rose oil and 50 Lemons to make a 15ML bottle of Lemon Oil, so if you are buying Essential Oils, ONE of the things you should look for is if that is reflecting in the price.
