This new Buddleia selection (20-03-33) is one of many we’re testing (SFA 18-2023) and it’s still cheerful after that flood. In the trialing garden at the Mast Arboretum - hard to believe this whole place was underwater a couple of weeks ago!

Paw Paws have been here for hundreds of thousands of years and revered by the earliest peoples.
Paw Paw seed fossils have been unearthed at Meadowcroft Rockshelter - the oldest known site of humans on the continent - over 16,000 years ago!
The Paw Paw is once again weaving its magic back into modern day culture.. what a remarkably adaptive species!
The only member of the tropical Annonaceae or Custard Apple Family that migrated north over millenniums into the temperate winterlands - blessing us with tropical fruit!
