We would like to thank our speakers who came to the event to talk about why and how they fast. We would also like to thank everyone who either helped or came to this event. Inshallah we hope to host more interfaith dialogues and events on Rutgers campus in the future.

Assalamoalaikum everyone! We are cosponsoring with the Rutgers Ahlul Bayt Student Association on an event about islamophobia in the colonial and post-colonial world. It takes place this Monday, March 28th at 8pm at the Busch Student Center Multi-Purpose Room.

The goal is to raise awareness of Islamophobia through the historic perception of the Muslim community as they exist during colonial practices and postcolonialism across the world. Colonialism is an invasive practice used by foreign powers to conquer and dismantle the culture and religion of those they are displacing. The dehumanizing practices of colonialism have affected cultures and communities across the world and the aftermath of these atrocities are still present in the modern-day.

Assalamoalaikum everyone! We will be having a social mixer with the Hindu Student Association TONIGHT at CASC Room 411BC at 9:15pm. There will be pizza, soda, and fun activities. Come join us for a chill hangout in which we make new friends and meet new people!

Islam has always been a champion of interfaith harmony, peace and cooperation. Unfortunately the media misconstrues Islam into something its not: a violent religion that promotes terrorism. To fight against this, AMSAW has strived to try to host interfaith events on campus in order to come up with solutions and discuss issues that plague society with a faith-based perspective. The last interfaith event we hosted was called Religion and Racism, which was hosted right before the pandemic hit. We hope to host more interfaith events in the future in order to enrich and educate the Rutgers community on different religions as well as promote interfaith harmony on campus.

For those who don't know, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community's motto is Love for All, Hatred for None. Unfortunately, many people don't know how this motto came to be or what the importance behind this motto is. This post aims to shed some information on where this motto comes from and how it impacts us today.

Local organization holds Coffee, Cake and True Islam event at Panera on College Avenue 29/12/2021

AMSAW has been active on and off since 2010 under many different names. The club was eventually rebranded to be what is it is today as Ahmadiyya Muslim Student Association for Women (AMSAW). Before this version of AMSAW was even formed into a club, it started out with a group of women coming together once a week at Panera Bread on College Ave to meet with students who had questions about Islam in the year 2017. You can read more about our beginnings in the Daily Targum Feature.
