QOTD: Buffy or Angel?

My AOTD: I’ve been rewatching Angel for . . . Months now 😂 but I’m enjoying it a lot! Still, Buffy is one of my ultimate comfort shows.

Enjoy this post with Buffy!

QOTD: do you want Orville season 4?

My AOTD: YES! This season was so fantastic! I love the new format (90 minute episodes? Yes please!) and how it is a more serious season.

I cried during episode 9. Legit bawled my eyes out. And the season finale was just PERFECT.

Nothing is confirmed for season 4, but I’m rooting for another season!

QOTD: what’s the last book you read?

My AOTD: this book! It was my favorite book as a teen, and I just reread it. Three books in one collection.

Here is the summary according to

🐺

Claidi is a teenage girl in the service of a cruel princess in the equally cruel House. Her life changes when she aids the escape of a handsome foreign prisoner, Nemian. The two steal away into the desolate wilderness known as the Waste. But, as Claidi soon learns, not everything in the Waste is poisoned - particularly not the singularly terrifying and dashing bandit leader, Argul. Claidi soon finds herself at the center of tangled webs of deceit among warring families. And eventually, she must face come to terms with her own mysterious family and her identity, and choose between them and the new family she has found. You, the reader, are Claidi's only confidant on her many, bizarre adventures.

🐺

I have three thoughts after reading it:

ONE: I’m shocked I remembered none of the second book! For a book I read several times as a teen, it was like reading it for the first time!

TWO: apparently there’s a fourth book? WHAT?! Do I need to read it? No. Am I intrigued? Sure. Did I read the summary of the fourth book on Wikipedia? Yes.

THREE: our protagonist is 16 years old. I remember reading it as a teen and getting to her wedding and being like, “That sounds normal.” When I re-read it, I added ten years to every character 😂

Well, this is a fun book. Here is the book, and some of my fanart for the series. Enjoy! If you’ve read it, let me know 😊😊😊

QOTD: What month is your birthday?

My AOTD: December 😊

Side note: Hemmer, played by Bruce Horak, is still my fave character from Strange New Worlds. So, I'm posting some Hemmer-themed memes today which, coincidentally, is also Bruce Horak's birthday (happy birthday!)

Side side note: Elysian Kingdom—fun episode, right?

QOTD: how was your long weekend?

My AOTD: good! Yeah, here in Canada (Manitoba at least), we’ve got a three day weekend. I mean, I did a lot of writing (finished another first draft! Huzzah!) but I’m counting it 😂

Also watched a lot of movies while I worked . . . Horror movies this weekend FTW!

Please enjoy this daily meme offering from The Orville. I’m planning on watching episode six onward this week. Wish me luck! So excited!

QOTD: what’s your current word / page count?

Mine is this meme template, with a blank so you can make your own!

But I might be the only person in all the dimensions to find this funny (though I hear the people in the shrimp dimension really dig it 🦐).

In other news, this is what jet-lagged Aria comes up with.

Enjoy!

Oh, and I wrote over 5000 words today. Feeling like a champion! (Yes, that was a Buffy reference 😂)

QOTD: Where was the last place you traveled to?

My AOTD: I traveled from Taiwan to Canada! My goodness, what a long flight! I was in transit for about 27 hours with my dog. We both arrived safely and have just been relaxing for the last few days (have to get used to this timezone and everything, amirite?)

SO MANY THINGS on the transit to talk about. First, the food. I hadn't had Tim Hortons in over two years, so the second I got to Vancouver I needed as much as humanly possible 😂😂😂

My dog was a champion on the trip, though he was NOT big on the whole "in the crate" thing. We had some of the WORST turbulence I have EVER experienced on a flight. Cannot imagine being my doggo in the hold—but he arrived safely!

And oh my goodness . . . how much I missed having strangers approach me and tell me their life stories!

Enjoy these memes about travel in general and MAKE SURE you fill out the Bingo! Of course, it's rigged so I win, but there you go 😂😂😂 Bonus points if you find the typo 🤣

Happy to be back in Canada, y'all! Let's see where this journey takes me!
