In celebration of the national women's day, THE INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION AND PARTNERSHIPS DIRECTORATE LAUNCHED A SUSTAINABLE EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME OF YOUNG WOMEN THROUGH INTERNATIONALISATION.

Our very own Vice President had the opportunity to grace the podium and deliver an insightful speech about her role and the strength of partnerships. It was such a lovely moment to have one of our very own take the stand among the list of powerful women who graced the podium.

-Dr Lavern Samuels, Director of the International Education and Partnerships department at DUT

-Special guest, Principal Officer, Consul General of the United States of America, Anne Linnee.

-Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at DUT, Professor Gugu Mchunu
-Praneetha Aniruth, Chairperson of the Umhlanga Women’s Association and a fierce advocator for women in technology.

In light of the recent events in South Africa with regards to the issue of immigrants, DUT - ISO has partnered with Africa Unite to host a Human rights seminar. Which will be inclusive of monthly talks covering various aspects of Human Rights.

The aim of the seminar is to build a community of people who are fully aware of what their rights are and how to go about protecting themselves irrespective of where they reside (wether you are a citizen or immigrant).

DUT ISO events are not to be missed!! The 2021 farewell luncheon in retrospect, was definitely the place to be on 12 November 2021!

We ended the year on a high note! As we celebrated ISO's final year students and bade them farewell over an elegant luncheon. It was an afternoon filled with delectable food, charming company and an enchanting atmosphere.
