Softball Clinic for all Youth Softball players in 2nd-8th grade on Sunday evenings in January and February. The clinic will be led by the Scappoose High School Softball players and coaches. Cost is $15 per athlete per session or $90 for all 7 sessions. The Oregon Schools Activities Association (OSAA) released the final results for The OSAA Cup last week! Congratulations to our very own Scappoose High School (SHS) for being this year’s 4A title winner! Scappoose took the top place with a total of 3,215 points. Second place went to Philomath and third to La Grande. The Cup was brought home by this year’s SHS athletics and activities, who earned nine league championships, nine trophies at state competitions, and ten individual state champions, coinciding with academic accolades and sportsmanship points.

According to the OSAA’s website, the OSAA Cup began in 1999 to recognize overall excellence by schools in academics, activities, athletics, and sportsmanship. Each school is awarded points that are based on their participation and standings in OSAA Championships and the Academic All-State Program. ¡La Asociación de Actividades Escolares de Oregón (OSAA) publicó los resultados finales de la Copa OSAA la semana pasada! ¡Felicitaciones a nuestra propia Scappoose High School (SHS) por ser la ganadora del título 4A de este año! Scappoose ocupó el primer lugar con un total de 3.215 puntos. El segundo lugar fue para Philomath y el tercero para La Grande. La Copa fue traída a casa por el atletismo y las actividades de SHS de este año, quienes ganaron nueve campeonatos de liga, nueve trofeos en competencias estatales y diez campeones estatales individuales, coincidiendo con elogios académicos y puntos de deportividad.

Scappoose High School senior Jessica Nelson was player of the game in Scappoose High Softball 2-1 win over Astoria. Jessica went 2 for 3 with a home run, driving in both our runs. Jessica is a true leader on this team. The girls host a play in game this Saturday at 12:00 against Baker, come out and support!
