Hard fixture tonight with a depleted squad, all minutes in the thanks though and some positives to take from the game. Ultimately a lack of fitness and legs cost us in the end with our opponents playing so lovely stuff to come back from 3-1 down.
Thanks to New Inn Fc (Dunscroft FC) for the hospitality and best of luck for the new season lads.

Bramham FC 2 - 3 South Park Rangers
Finally a change in fortunes for us after a tough run of results. Conditions were pretty awful with the pitch being very boggy and it being extremely windy. But finally 3 points!
We opened the scoring through Jake Bayram after a nice ball to him from Scott Noon. However after some sloppy mistakes Bramham got on top and went 2-1 up.
2-1 down at half time after a terrible first half performance, we made a few changes and came out after half time with an improved attitude. Jay Sharman quickly got us level after coming on at the break, great assist from Alex Bottomley with a defence splitting pass. We pushed for more but it wouldn’t drop for us, until Jake Bayram hit a worldie left footed strike from 30 yards, straight into the stanch.
MOM: Alex Bottomley - absolutely colossal at centre back then in midfield. Ran his socks off, put in some great tackles and got a lovely assist.
Next up we play Malt Shovel on Thursday evening, that being our final fixture of the season.

Pollington 1 - 0 South Park Rangers
A scrappy affair which probably could have gone either way. We probably edged the first half but Pollington were certainly the better team in the second half.
Decent graft from the lads but ultimately not enough to get the points.
MOM: Alex Bottomley - extremely solid all game at Centre Back, winning many headers and tackles.
Onto next week.

South Park 0 - 1 Haxby Town
A much improved performance from us this week despite the result, in the end being edged out by Haxby, who are deservedly league leaders, from a scrappy goal from a corner.
We were defensively sound all game restricting Haxby to very few chances. A superb triple save from stand in keeper Lewis Fallowfield was one of the highlights of the game. Other than that quite a scrappy affair in which the lads grafted and battled for every ball. Unfortunately we lacked the quality in the final third to punish Haxby today.
MOM: Ewan Derby - extremely solid at right back and put in a great performance today winning a lot of tackles and aerial duels.
Next week to take the trip to local side FC Pollington.
