Thank you for this incredible picture .stories 🏔️ Desperately missing the hills
1. I’m alive! (Unbathed, but still alive!)
2&3. A picture that will forever remind me that sometimes life doesn’t go according to plan and that’s great. I had planned accommodations for every night of my hike. What I didn’t take into account was that I was carrying a bag that weighed as much as a grown child, there was rain, slush and wind wrestling with me, and I had to climb a HILL! I was defeated at the 12 Mile mark (first stop was 8 more miles away) and that’s exactly when I saw this clearing in the forest. Went straight in, annoyed an English hippie next to me to help me set up my tent (I had never pitched a tent before) and passed out. It was my first time wild camping. And the views in the morning were ethereal. No accommodation could have been as beautiful. Threw away the itinerary and camped every night after.
4. They (I don’t exactly know who) say that you may start your hikes alone, but you’ll never end them alone. Remember the English hippie who helped me set up my tent? His name is Swinny. And he had spent several years in India as a monk, he even knew the meaning of Nirmal. He used to be a Scuba Instructor and also used to own a Ma*****na farm in USA. You know, Normal things. And he had bumped into Josey, a German nurse backpacking as well and we kind of just started walking together the next day. And we just stuck together. To a point where another hiker had asked Swinny if Josey and I were his 2 daughters. (👍)
5. Taken mere moments before I fell in the muck and slid down on my ass.
6. It had been 2 days since I had a proper meal and I was starving. Enter this glorious pie.
7. Campsite 2. 😭
8. Josey’s walking pole broke and we had to improvise.
9. A stunning campsite on Day 3 before we realised that it was also home to a particularly deadly creepy crawly: Ticks. Ticks look like tiny spiders and they bite you. And you wouldn’t even know because they’re so tiny. But some of them carry Lyme disease. So every night after this, I would be checking my entire body for ticks, including my ass because apparently they like it there? I got 3 bites by the end of the trip.
10. Underwear drying in the wild.
To be contd.
And away we go! Solo 154 KM hike from Milgnavie to Fort William! 🏕️ See you in 6 days if my tent doesn’t get blown away/I get attacked by mountain deer/fall on my back looking at a pebble! Say bye 👋
Give me all your money! Buy tickets! Make us rich! Ticket link in bio. 👍🇬🇧
1. There will come a point when you near the top of the 1000 steps on Chamundi hills where you think “Huh this is a spectacular view maybe I should stop here”. You should. That’s the best part. Keep going up greedy for a better view and you’re going to reach a temple with fences all around you. But you will see cows. And get some delicious Aloo bonda. So there’s that!
2. Channelling my inner White yoga mom in Sapa Bakery 🍵
3. The OG Mysore Masala Dosa at Hotel Original Vinayaka Mylari. So committed to the cause they had nothing else but this when we went. Still bussin! I ate two! And this masala kicks way harder than the soggy yellow ball of Aloo mash they give us everywhere else.
4. Stumbled upon this during a stroll and immediately began trying to find the point from where peak symmetry can be achieved.
5. There is something about watching nature zip by at high velocity that is incredibly alluring.
6. The incessant need to click of picture of anything that appears remotely interesting on a trail. Picked up a stick for added effect.
7. One of my favourite things is getting down at obscure stations with other uncles who rejoice in getting back on the split second the train starts moving again. It’s a delicate art.
8. Eating at the place that put Mysore in Mysore Pak - Guru Sweet Mart! (Perhaps, that’s what the blogs tell me!)
9. Miscellaneous object of curiosity
10. All you people who keep posting skies on your Instagram stories, I understand now. 🫂
I’ve been playing hide and seek with Sleep for quite a while now. I get to travel a lot thanks to my job (God bless!) and it’s amazing and fun, but my sleep also takes a hit sometimes. :( Though at times, its worth it, but most times it makes me a little bummed that I’m not fully rejuvenated while exploring a new city! I’ll be cranky :/
Then I decided to start prioritizing sleep because I knew how important a good night’s rest was for a great next day.
I got my hands on the new Vicks ZzzQuil Natura, which has Melatonin that helps me fall asleep faster and Vitamin B6 that reduces fatigue. These gummies are a real game-changer!

Made it to Forbes and in very very good company. Thank you for the honour 😭 #6 Digital Creator in India and is INSANE (imposter syndrome kicking in in 3..2..1)
(Also can you imagine the phrase “Mahlyf Mahrulez” is in such a serious publication 👍)
