With the constant opportunities of development within the Highlands, Randy Wharton helps to keep both the city and the OCDA (Ohio County Development Authority) Board in the loop of potential new businesses and economic opportunities to develop our region as he is a member of the OCDA and also serves as the President of the Ohio County Commission.

Successfully operating his own business for nearly 47 years, Randy Wharton understands the financials and revenues needed to support the projects and all of the community needs.

Randy Wharton proudly participated in the “Public City-County Strategy Work Session”, the first to take place in over two decades. Together, our county and city tackled areas and projects within our community, focusing on maximizing our community and quality of living within Wheeling and Ohio County.

The opportunities within Ohio County are endless and Randy Wharton is COMMITTED to improving the growth and prosperity of our county.

"This was probably one of the most important redevelopment projects that's happened in the city of Wheeling in quite some time.” - Randy Wharton on the Regional Cancer Center being developed on the former grounds of the OVMC location.

Working together is key to financially supporting the needs of upgrading the City-County building and Randy Wharton is proud to collaborate with the officials of Ohio County to obtain solutions in matters such as those.

Randy Wharton provides a diversified approach of thinking, developing, and maintaining projects as it most benefits Ohio County and its residents.

Randy Wharton worked closely with the city to develop and support the use of the former OVMC property. Recently approved to be developed into a regional cancer center, Wharton worked closely with representatives of the city in hopes of developing the former property into a beneficial site for not only Ohio County but also the entire Ohio Valley. It is estimated that the new facility will bring an upward of 150 jobs to our area.

Through his experience within the commission, Randy Wharton will continue to provide historical and working knowledge of county projects as he knows the importance of adding new perspective to new ideas!

Always fighting to bring the best to the Mountain State, Randy Wharton focuses on improving the infrastructures of Ohio County.
