💛🖤🐝 What a gem!!!
Happy Thursday friends! We’ve had a request for Mrs. G… So to any & all of her kids think long and hard to some of your favorite songs either from her class, a program or from your year of being a Stinger and post your list in the comments. A play list is going to be made for her and any help you can give would BEE GREAT 🐝❤️
I stopped at the store tonight & to my surprise our own Judy & Stephanie were there and in true fashion Mrs. G was talking to everyone ❤️ She looks great and was telling me how grateful she is for each and everyone of ”her kids”. Thank you for all of your kind words and always loving her in true Stinger fashion!!! 🐝💛🖤
Update on Ms. G ❤️ 🐝 per Aubrey Snapp
She is home and doing pretty well. She has occupational and physical therapy coming to her home, but only for another 2-3 times for each at this time. She’s up and walking around (unassisted) and getting stronger every day. She has really enjoyed the cards that were sent to her and loves you all. She often talks about what a great community this is and how lucky we all are to be a part of it.
I know there has been a lot of people asking if there is any news on our sweet Judy. As of right now we haven’t heard of any new updates, but as soon as we do we’ll be sure to share with you all. As our Mrs. G would say…Keep a buzzin 🐝❤️
** UPDATE ** Per Aubrey Snapp on another post
She’s still in the hospital recovery from surgery. They got her up and walked her around yesterday and she did well. Trying to find a rehab facility that has room for her and is close by. Will update everyone with an address once we have it.
We are sad to hear of the loss of one of our own little Bumble Bee’s. DeShawn was such a sweet and kind soul. Thoughts and prayers go out to her mom Chris and son Kaleb. 🐝❤️🎼
Someone has a very special birthday coming up 🍰🎁🎉
Let’s flood her with tons of birthday wishes and let her know how much the community loves her ❤️ Please message Cindee McCune Kratzenberg for mailing info.
Keep a Buzzin 🐝❤️
What a fun night celebrating the 50th anniversary of the ILHS with the Cowsills!
Our very own Mrs. G introduced the ILHS Vocal Jazz Ensemble (some of these kiddos parents were former Stingers) She was also apart of a super funny skit with commissioner Joe Antram.
It’s always great seeing her smiling face and doing what she loves!!!
Keep A Buzzin’ 🐝
Hey all! Ok so here’s the details...
Its going to be super simple.
Mrs. G’s float will be right by Indian Head, so you can either park (or have someone drop you off) across the street (from Indian Head) at the park or in the old Antonio’s lot meet at the float (boat) around 5:45 pm...
For those that have never been to the parade it goes from Indian Head to the over flow parking lot at McDonalds (have walking shoes 😊)
Mrs G has a brand new beautiful boat she will be riding on thanks to Spend A Day Marina, and all of her former bees will be walking to accompany her.
Hope to see lots of Stingers this Thursday!!!!
Hello Everyone! The countdown to the Homecoming Parade is on... Confirming a couple of things and will post details tomorrow morning for the Stingers who would like to walk with Mrs. G’s float.
* Looks like it’s a go! Any past Stinger who would like to walk in the parade with the float are more than welcome to do so. Times & where to meet will be posted here closer to the date once things are ironed out...
Hey everyone! Such an amazing response for Mrs. G and getting her into the parade.
Parade Information:
October 4th begins at 6:30 pm
Starts at Indian Head and continues through Russells Point to the over flow parking lot by McDonalds...
I had many messages asking to make this happen for her, all I did was make a couple phone calls from some past Stinger’s recommendations and that’s all it took to come up with a brand new beautiful boat for her float, decorations and banners.
Now with that being said, no one has been contacted to be hand picked to ride on her float, we are not trying to exclude anyone...
I received a lovely message this morning from a former Stinger who thought having any past Stinger’s participate in the parade by walking with the float would be awesome!
I think it’s a great idea and asked her to please contact the committee to get it ok’d... So lets keep our fingers crossed that it works out. It will be so awesome for her to see so many of her kids ❤️🐝
Wow, all of this activity on the page in the last couple of days has been Awesome!
Just goes to show once a 🐝 always a 🐝 ... Keep a buzzing ❤️
Great to see Mrs. G reading to the kiddos at the ILES!
Another generation getting to find out just how awesome she is 😊❤️
Thoughts and prayers sent!!!

Letter from Mrs. G. herself ;)
Dear Gang,
As you may know, our beloved Lakeview School no longer is standing! How sad! But, oh the wonderful memories we cherish!
Thank you for the great page and the many funny, touching, and sweet comments. I love them, as well as each of you!
How blessed I was to have a career that allowed me for 34 years to have a play date with the worlds greatest kids, pals, buddies, and BF's
You make my heart sing!!!!!
Love,
Mrs. Grubbs, Mrs. G, Old Witch, or Judy
The other night, I drove to Lakeview. It was very foggy, misty and a chill was iin the air. I decided to walk the grounds of our school. Through the fog and mist, I thought I saw a shadow several feet in front of me. As I got a little closer, I could see it was the shape of a person. In their right hand was a shiny object that looked like a knife! I felt a chill go up my spine as I heard a low gravely voice singing. ~ "Oh, Lakeview School we sing of all your glory."
At that, I broke all speed records getting back to my trusty red mustang.
Was it the ghost of Lakeview School? Who can say ~ but it's my guess he forever will be standing guard over the hallowed grounds of our beloved and respected
Lakeview School!!!!
Happy Halloween My Pretties!!!! Sleep Tight.......
OK Lakeview kiddos...Here is the BIG surprise I was telling you to watch for!!!!!
A Halloween tradition that was as exciting as it was to go trick or treating!!!
THE ONE BIG EYE......
A very weird happening happened to me ~ on a Halloween night quite accidentally.
I was on my way home from Trick or Treating, when a Spook and I had an unusual meeting.
I walked through the woods ~ which was dumb, I might say! When SUDDENLY!!!! there he was blocking my way!
He was tall and quite ugly with a big toothless grin, and a hand was attached where an ear should have been.
As I looked at him closely, I saw out of place ~ this one great big eye in the middle of his face, and the one big eye just BLINKED!
His legs were just bones, and I counted three ~ with a big chain secured to each one at the knee.
He gave a low moan as he rattled his chains and I felt the blood turn to ice in my veins.
My hair stood on end as I felt my legs sag. There was nothing to do but to give him my bag! And the one big eye just... BLINKED!!! |
He reached in the bag and started to eat. Not the candy or apples or anything sweet. He just ate the papers and a lolly pop stick. I thought to myself, "He'll surley be sick!"
And the one big eye just...BLINKED!!! He wiped off his chin with a dirty old rag then tore it to pieces and ate up the bag!
But, I'm certain I saw when the lights was clear, in his very large eye, was a very large tear. And the one sad eye just...BLINKED!!!
Now that I am older, not given to fright, I still think about him each Halloween night. That tall ugly thing with the big toothless grin and a hand attached where an ear should have been.
I feel sort of sad to remember that I ~ saw a very large tear in his very large eye.
And the large sad eye just.....BLINKED!!!!
Happy Halloween
Love,
Mrs. Grubbs
