ocal Cornwall Wildcats(Bantam). I am retired and moved to Cornwall 3 years ago. My wife Jane and I chose Cornwall because of its location and for the beauty of the St.Lawrence River with the numerous trails throughout this area. A true "Jack of All Trades", I am a retired Peace Officer of almost 20 years and a former Private Investigator. I was a small business owner--an independent pizza restaurant in Markham, Ontario--and was active in my union as Steward, Vice President (twice), Acting President and as a member of the Collective Bargaining Team. I attended several Arbitration hearings in Toronto. I was also the co-chair (Government of Ontario and myself) of the Transition team in 2006 for change to Ontario Public Service from a Private Sector business. A true volunteer at heart, I am a past president of Gloucester Kiwanis Club and the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award from Kiwanis International. I was also a member of the Lions Club of Eastbourne while in the U.K. Currently, my home is the Optimist Club of Cornwall, where you can find me volunteering at various events, including the Toy Drive. Jane and I were foster parents for several years with Simcoe County CAS. During those years, I was a vice president of the Foster Parent Association and a Trustee with the CAS Foundation of Simcoe County. As a hobby I enjoy cooking. I have been known to feed my neighbours and a couple of local restaurateurs. To date, zero complaints. I have a goal in the near future to teach others how to cook simple meals for themselves and their families. We might even stream our adventures for everyone. Far too many hungry people out there.
