We love wooden cutting boards because they are durable and reliable - they are modern, won’t dull your knives, and don’t easily harbor harmful bacteria…but they do need to be cleaned the right way!

Wood cutting boards need to be hand washed. After use, wash them with a bit of dish soap, rinse the board in hot water, wipe clean, and allow to dry upright.

However, every few weeks, your cutting board should be deep cleaned and disinfected. Just simply sprinkle the board with coarse salt, such as kosher salt. Cut a lemon in half and rub the fleshy side of the lemon onto the salt-covered board. Allow the salt and lemon solution to sit for about five minutes, rinse with hot water and dry it upright.

Cleaning the microwave is never a fun task, but you can save time and elbow grease by loosening any microwave mess first!

Pop a solution of one part vinegar, one part water, and a few slices of lemon into a microwave-friendly bowl and put the power on for a few minutes. Then, let the steam sit in the microwave for a few minutes to loosen any stubborn marks or stuck-on food.

Recently, we had a customer reach out to us who really enjoyed our utensil holder, and wanted to know if we had a spoon rest to match it (because who doesn’t love matching things?).

We didn’t have the product and we don’t generally make custom-ordered items, but we were determined to make it happen. We worked with a sketch artist to create a quick mockup, and communicated with the customer back and forth until we agreed on the design she was looking for. We reached out to our supplier and had them create a sample and send it to her.



The response from the customer was amazing - she LOVED it! It was a blessing to see that we were able to help her create her dream kitchen. It’s a reminder to us that our customers and their needs are the reason that we come to work every day, and are at the forefront of what we do.

How often do you reach for your plastic containers to store your lunch or leftovers and struggle to find the matching lid? 🤦‍♀️ We’ve been there way too many times and it’s time to do something about it!

Spend a few minutes going through your container drawer and match the container to the lid. If the lid is lost or if the lid is all you have, discard, donate, or repurpose it so that it doesn’t take up useful cabinet space.‌

Once you’re done, either store your containers with the lid on, or use tension rods in your drawer to help keep them organized by size, and save you time!
