Hey to all our 3Fs-Family, Friends, and Followers.
Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays!
Today we are releasing a brand-new Christmas song that we just wrote!
It is called,
"That Christmas Feeling".

It captures the change that comes over us at The Holidays, making us more friendly, caring, and generous.
Our lyrics and melody try to capture the idea that the world becomes a smaller, better place at Christmas.
We are super excited about this and hope you will all share our song with your family and friends as well.
This was a true collaboration between Kirk, Bruce, and Mark and they brought their A-game to the studio.

This song was inspired by a trip to the liquor store, where I stumbled upon a bottle of rum called "Kirk And Sweeney". I immediately sent a picture of the bottle to my two friends and song-writing partners-Kirk Larente and Joe Sweeney. What a coincidence! The Kirk And Sweeney was a rum-running schooner back in the days of Prohibition. It brought precious rum from The Dominican Republic up to the NYC area. We set to work to write a tune, and here it is-enjoy!! You can't make this stuff up. Cheers, Mark Garni, co-founder, QCP

He and his daughter passed away in a tragic accident in the basement in his home after a severe flood. Here at QCP, we LOVE it when our guest artists collaborate! Last year, one of our artists, "The Barn Boys" released a single titled "The Barn Boys Are Gone". Another guest artist, Bruce Copp, (The Elegants, Spotlight, and solo entertainer), loved the song so much he asked if could do his own version. Permission was granted, and here it is! To all our 3 Fs-family, friends and fans. We at QCP would like to thank you for your support since August 2020! As we approach our two-year anniversary, we would like to update you on what we are doing.
We started QCP, aka Quarantine Collaboration Project, during The Pandemic, to show what two musicians could accomplish from a distance-Kirk in Orlando, FL, and Mark in Staten Island, NY. The idea was to have other musicians and singers join us. We already had a stockpile of unpublished songs from the 80s and 90s.
We got to work in August 2020, and released our first song/video, titled "Latin Groove". If you haven't heard it, please check it out. It is at the very beginning of our page. It happens to be our number 1 viewed video, with over two hundred views, thanks to you!
Since then, we have released 29 songs and videos, and featured 9 guest artists! We are quite proud of that accomplishment!
Today, we release a song from "the vault". Kirk wrote and recorded this by himself in 1986. It is titled, "When You're Gone." Please enjoy and thank you for your support.

Dear QCP followers,

From the very beginning of QCP, back in 1982, it was just Kirk, Mark and a keyboard. Sometimes at Kirk's house, sometimes at Mark's house, or if it was very late in the evening, the two would find themselves in the basement of Kirk's apartment building, with a Casio keyboard and a six-pack. They were busy penning lyrics and melodies. As they wrote, they would sometimes disagree on the use of one word, one chord, or even one note!

By 1985, they had already written over a dozen songs, and felt it was time to get themselves into a recording studio. Kirk and Mark had saved enough money to record two songs. So they each chose one song. Kirk chose "In This Alone", and Mark chose "I Still Love You". Mark enlisted the help of his old bandmates Joe, Vinny, and Ron to learn the music. The band would drive to Manhattan from Staten Island, on route to a rehearsal studio where they could practice the music they were going to record in a few weeks time. But no trip to the studio was complete without stopping at O'Boyle's Pub before-hand (for a warm-up drink), and afterwards for a critiquing session. Very important stuff!

Once the songs were sufficiently rehearsed, they booked time at The Park Ave. Recording Studio, and the 5 musicians nervously entered. The recording engineer, Ron, could not have been nicer or more skilled as he calmed their nerves and showed them the studio equipment, and how the process works. Then, he mic'd the drums, laid down the instrument tracks, then the vocal tracks, and mixed the sound. It took two evenings. This was awesome! The boys were all very pleased with what they had done.

36 years later, all that remains of those sessions is a cassette tape. The original reel-to-reel was lost. Kirk, with his recording expertise, was able to enhance the cassette to get it back to its original sound. Believe it or not, the cassette tape had slowed up, causing the songs to play a half-step lower, and slower, but Kirk restored them to their original keys and speed!

So today, we proudly re-introduce two of our very first songs, "In This Alone" and "I Still Love You", along with video by Mark. Thank you for your support. It means the world to both of us!

As we get ready to celebrate The Labor Day Week-end, and as we approach the 20th Anniversary of September 11th, we came up with a song and video to show our love for this great country, and for the people that help us enjoy our freedoms.
We wrote this song during Desert Storm, but never put it out. With all that is going on in the world today, we could all use something that can bring us back together to stand up for the greatest country in the world, and for the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect it for us.
It is with humbling pride to all of you that make this country great, we offer "I Love The USA".
Please help us spread the word and let everyone know, that there are many of us that still believe in our great nation, as well as some that need to be reminded of what we have and how we got here. We may be on different sides of the fence, but we are all still Americans!! God Bless The USA!!
