Happy October! I'll be somewhere almost every weekend this month, so I hope you can make it to one or all of the events :)

For the whole month of October, you can check out my items and other local makers at Fletcher Farms in their gift shop! Enjoy their pumpkin patch, scavenger hunt, farm animal zoo, storybook trail, mini-golf, yard games, bonfire, photo stations, and children's obstacle course! Open every weekend in October from 11am-6pm. Adults $10, kids $8.

I'll be up north this Saturday at the MeWe Fair in Everett, offering Akashic Record readings and my artisan smudge bundles. Come say hello and check out 60 other vendors and practitioners!

It has been 2 months since I last painted, and so much has happened in that time. New beginnings, much celebration and continued healing.

In that time I also met Amma, the Hugging Saint and She has become my spiritual teacher. I am raising money to attend a retreat with her at the end of this month and I am selling this painting to directly help with my attendance.

So what started out as an autocorrect joke about prom turned into a creative project when I took it seriously because I'm extra like that. 😂 I crafted a matching corsage and boutonniere set in 50 minutes! Just in time before going out to dinner, haha. Pretty proud of how it turned out considering it was my first time. New day job as a florist?

Last summer I collected some rocks at the beach and have been wanting to paint them! I did have some hesitation after, because I didn't want the paints to hurt them in any way. But this week I prayed to the rocks and asked for their permission to work with them and got a "yes," so this is what I've made so far. I'm noticing a theme. 😂

Happy Friday 🍟 Sharing an FAQ about my upcoming painting workshop to visually set your intention for the year!

I will demo how I paint intuitively in an abstract style and incorporate a power word with the piece. You can paint along with me step by step or feel free to take what you like and do your own thing!

It's happening online this Sunday, 1/21/24, from 2:30-4:30pm PST. $35

This is for you if you would like to make time for:

This workshop will be a safe container for you to play and experiment while being encouraged to engage with your intuition and let go of any self judgment.

Did you know the museums in Seattle are free every first Thursday of the month? I went to the SAM yesterday morning as an artist date for myself and really enjoyed it.

An artist date is time for yourself to do something fun, creative or inspiring; an activity from Julia Cameron's book, "The Artist's Way." Really, it could be a self date as well.

Some other ideas for artist/self dates I would like to do:
- Go on a walk in a new neighborhood and take photos
- Collect some rocks and paint them
- Try a new dish or cuisine
- Visit a Buddhist or Hindu temple
- Create a new playlist and have a solo dance party
- Watch a foreign film

What would you do?

As part of my personal end of year recap, I made a list of the top five things that went well in 2023, and also what to say goodbye to. Then I looked for patterns and distilled them down to what works for me and what doesn't, and here they are. Can you relate to any of them?
