Before we get all jazzed up about our New Year’s Resolutions and filling in every white space on our calendars with “must-do” tasks, let’s remember that people come before projects, because God created them in His perfect love.

Our lives and daily routines should reflect the hope, joy and love that Jesus gives to us. Is there someone you know who needs encouragement and God’s truth? Consider taking something off your to-do list so you can share the love of Jesus with them today.

Happy New Year, Sweet Peas! From our entire team here at Lighten Up Sweet Pea, we want to thank you for supporting us in 2021. You were the reason behind every episode, and we hope you enjoyed our podcast this past year.

We pray that 2022 is filled with blessings beyond measure for you and your loved ones! Keep your chin up, stay hopeful and remember that the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Regardless of what 2022 sends our way, we know that God is with us, and He is always up to something good on our behalf! So, let’s focus on those truths and step into this year with great confidence and wait expectantly for what He’s about to do.

This post may seem late, but it’s actually strategic. Even though all the presents are unwrapped and the Christmas cookies are eaten, we have so much more to celebrate!

As believers in Jesus Christ, we can (and should) rejoice over the true meaning of Christmas all year round.

The huge significance of Jesus’ birth, death and resurrection (for our sake, not His) is something we should celebrate, day after day, not just one day a year.

Instead of jumping ahead to plans for next year, consider being present with Jesus today, by pausing and thanking Him for all that He has done for us.

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

Let’s be women of God who long for His presence more than we long for increased social media likes and new followers. Because at the end of each day, God’s approval is the only one that truly matters. Everything else quickly fades in comparison to His restful presence and glorious light!
