I didn't have time last week to stop & smell the roses 🥀 I slowed down a bit this week & noticed something delightful each day. I am horrible at weeding the yard, every plant is lovely to me & I can't pull it 😢 I cleaned some yard sale finds. I stopped to make myself spicy noodles mid day and read for a bit. The car wash reset my whole mood, plus the road trip bugs were placed to rest. Shabbat vibes. I visited old memories & friends at the Miles Carnival. Godzilla x Kong with the family for a small things Sunday 🌞

I found this book in a free pile at a yard sale. I had no idea it was full of great tips. I have a huge pile of clothes for the shop in need of repair, this covers many alterations, cover ups and upcycles. I am stoked for summer projects 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

Seven little things that kept me from the doldrums this week... fake flowers at the 99 store are a simple favorite sad buster 🌼 I was intimated by this sewing machine given to me by a friend, but I found all I needed to know on YouTube & all the curtains got hem jobs!🧵Then, I spent a day mending by hand, darning & sewing 🪡 I found a marble & a rock that matched my manicure 💅 We blew off the stress of the week with cold beer & SkipBo 🃏 Went to a bazillion yard & estate sales, it seemed like every yard was beaming with lovely flowers💐 And Sunday was spent downtown at the Folk Festival & Made in Tucson market 🪕

My magical witchy superstitions told me it was the year of the pretzel 🥨 found this little gem yard saling! I would like to know more about what exactly is pretzel logic!? Sometimes life is soft, dipped in mustard, and served warm?

The little things! This week was a bit of a s**t sandwich. Some really tough feelings were felt plus pure joy. A gift from my love, made lemon cranberry scones, sorted some old stuff, Martin made yard art with his broken arrow collection, then he made a delicious challah for shabbot, yard sales on Friday & Saturday, then family time decorating eggs, eating & old pictures sorted on a very rainy Sunday. I finished reading Lonesome Dove as well, looking for my next book adventure today ;)

Another week down, difficult as it was, this new assignment I've given myself of documenting small joys has really helped me focus each day on being present. Monday was a day of rest, which I spent napping & enjoying this new painting I purchased. Then, several days of preparing items for upcoming markets. A lemon tree in my yard that has taken 8 years to begin producing fruit (a late bloomer like many of us) now smells devine! The amazing double rainbow on Friday felt magical after several hours of crafting with friends (which was so relaxing that I forgot to take pictures). A peach pancake from Laverna's made my s**tty Saturday into something bearable and finally here on Sunday, reading the day away.

Ready for spring? I love seeing so many wildflowers everywhere 💐 I'd love to sit in this cute ass chair all day and watch spring do its thing 🫠

Things I didn't buy! But here I am, on a Tuesday morning thinking about these giant scissors ✂️ Where did they come from? Who used them last? Why are they so funny?

I'm still trying to find the small joys, especially after a rather s**tty week! Had to go for a long walk to feel human again after getting a business license & LLC 🙃 Thrifted almost each day this week to chase off the icks. Added to my scarf collection. Watched the Vince Staples Show, highly recommend! I don't think ppl realize how much trash resellers often have to pick through, not just to make $ but to find a good home other than the landfills. Went out dancing past my bedtime on Saturday night, and now here we are at the Mercado Flea! Happy Sunday 😊

I love vintage kids' clothes, especially when advertising things that weren't really made for children. Can you imagine watching Planet of the Apes (old or newer) with the toddler that fit in this shirt? 🦧

A week in pictures! I'm trying to capture a moment each day to find joy in the small things. I felt like this bag of vintage beaded curtains² this week. I made the famous gochujang noodles, and they were delicious. Thrifting with my lovely friend made me feel whole again despite this horrifying figurine (things I didn't buy). Laundry day. All the beverages I need to function. Us after hosting a World Series of Poker for 9+ hours. Then we saw Dune 2 & I finished mending my favorite pants!

Micro Machines! I'm selling my tiny collection after playing with them one last time. They zoom so fast with zero emissions! Time for someone else to enjoy 😉
