Awesome tip from a friend:

Today’s 10 min project!

Moths! 🦟They can get into your closet & eat holes in your prettiest (& priciest) things! Like your cashmere sweaters.🤬

Here is a very simple project that will:

🪙cost pennies
👗save your clothing investment
🕰just take a few minutes
🧵and one trip to the craft store.

Simply purchase some clothing pins, pom-poms, a heavy duty craft glue or glue gun & grab your Cedarwood & lavender oils (because they’re known for repelling moths).

(Alternatively, if you really aren’t the crafty type, you can purchase pieces of Cedarwood already on a hanger at most organizational places like the container store).

Simply glue the desired amount of pom-poms directly onto the wooden clothes pin. After it dries, saturate with Cedarwood and Lavender and Stick on several hangers in your closet, protecting the clothing most precious to you!

I just keep bottles of Cedarwood and Lavender in my closet expressly for this purpose so that when I no longer smell the oils —several months down the road—I re-apply as needed.

Voila!

The amazing thing is that this creates a zen oasis in your closet as well. Instant aromatherapy!

Win-win!

Did you know that your skin is the LARGEST organ in your body?

Think about how often you wash your hands. Now think about the soap you use. What's in it? How much did you spend for it?

One of the things I switched out in our house is all the hand soap dispensers. For a fraction of what I was spending on those special body shop ones I used to buy.

Then, I started thinking about the soap at school, or work or wherever🤢 So, I got some smaller bottles and made bottles for the boys backpacks and my purse!

I LOVE the smell and how it doesn't dry out my skin.

Amazing research to remember the next time you or someone you know is in pain. Bring out your black pepper essential oil!
——
Research suggests that about 20% of adults experience chronic pain. When it comes to pain, we often think of applying essential oils to the affected area for relief. But research suggests that simply inhaling essential oils can also be helpful. This is because inhaling essential oils allows them to interact with opioid receptors in the brain, and in the case of some essential oils, cannabinoid receptors throughout the body.
A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study evaluated the benefits of inhaling black pepper essential oil compared to inhaling sesame oil (placebo). Fifty-four subjects presenting with pain were randomly assigned to two groups and asked to rate their pain from 0 to 10, with 0 being no pain and 10 being maximum pain. Then they inhaled either black pepper or sesame oil for 15 minutes. The group that inhaled black pepper essential oil experienced significant reduction in pain intensity (a 36.1% reduction) compared to the sesame group, which reported increased pain after inhalation.
