-Not gonna lie, I didn't had any idea for this prompt, so I polished a sketch that I already had and added a "gradient" to it 💀 i was keeping this ref for a better illustration but maybe I'll reuse it after inktober ends.

El Diablo 👁

[ESP]-Esto surgió por ver una carta de la lotería (esta en la última foto) "el diablito", mi cabeza empezó a formular palabras, bocetos y a pensar en todo lo relacionado a el y a los ángeles y su "verdadera apariencia".
La carta de "El Diablito" y el increíble trabajo de fue una gran inspiración para esta ilustración.

[ENG]-This arose from seeing a lottery card (it's in the last photo) "El Diablito", my head started to formulate sketches, words and think about everything related to him and the angels and his "true appearance".
The lottery card "El Diablito" and the incredible work of was a great inspiration for this illustration.

[ENG]-It had been a while since I painted an eye, I don't know why doing this type of studies relaxes me.
-I made more versions than you can see here but there were too many, I'll upload the rest later.
-The color of the eye is not that accurate to the reference but I left it that way because they are complementary colors.

[ESP] Escribí esta descripción pensando en este retrato y el anterior a mi autorretrato así que si no la leíste aquella vez aquí va de nuevo.
[ENG] I wrote this description thinking about this portrait and the one before my self portrait so if you didn't read it that time here it goes again.

[ESP] Esto me tomo mas o menos 1 año, valió la pena.
Se habla muy poco de lo frustrante y a la vez gratificante que es pintar a una persona tan cercana como lo son tus propios padres, al estar tan acostumbrado a mirarlos hace falta que te equivoques en medio centímetro de las proporciones faciales para que una persona tan obsesiva como yo piense que lo ha arruinado todo.
¿Entonces cual fue la solución?
Equivocarme, no buscar la perfección, esto me ayudo a liberar la presión y en vez de posponerlo mas años ya habra tiempo para hacer 50 retratos "mejores" :)

[ENG] This took me more or less a year, it was worth it.
We don't talk often of how frustrating and at the same time gratifying painting a close person as ur parents is, sometimes it just takes to make a very very very little mistake to someone so obsesiva like me to think that I ruined all the painting.
So What was the solution?
Making mistakes, not looking for perfection, this helped me release the pressure and instead of postponing it for more years, there will be time to do 50 "better" portraits :)

[ESP] -Hace tiempo que no hacia un Autorretrato tal cual, revisitando mis dibujos viejos me di cuenta que siempre se repite la idea de el rostro partido a la mitad no se muy bien el por qué, surge totalmente de manera inconsciente.
