Miss Apple is officially 7. She is the sweetest most loving girl with a real “I know what I want out of life attitude”. Her favorite person is daddy. She has huge love for her older brothers and is always making sure mom is happy. Both Kurt and I thank God for this little surprise because she completed our home and sure brought some spice to our lives. Mommy and Daddy love you baby girl!

Let the farm life begin! Our first set of chicks are here! (Apple asked if we can put collars on them so she can name them and know who they are 🤣)

One of the top things my kids don’t like doing is making their bed before we leave the house! This problem has been solved with for King’s room.

If you have seen these before check my stories! It’s basically a sheet that zips the quilt on. So simple and easy for young kids to get that perfectly made look.

We have been using our for a couple months and it washes easy and I no longer have the major top bunk struggle to get it looking neat!

The day was beyond beautiful! All the planning and hard work paid off. I didn’t have my phone out but the everything from the food, singer, ceremony, table settings and more were perfect! They asked for me to make it pretty and special and I’d say it was all that and more! I can’t wait to get more photos.

So close to finishing her bedroom. I’m waiting for new blinds and a few more things to hang. Her floral sheet is from my grandmothers house. I used it when I was young. 💜

A day of play! Farmers market, locals market, duck pond and park.

This last week I decided to swap rooms from Apple’s room to the TV/office room. I wanted to make a warmer space that would be great for the fam to watch movies in and add a larger desk for us to work on.

It turned out to be a great project! The sofa really pops against the green walls and it feels comfortable and relaxing.

Wall color Vintage Vogue

I’ve finally ordered drapes for this room! That’s going to be my project this weekend... hanging them.

I walked into the bedroom to find these kittens with mama in a bed made for one. Swipe to see the cuteness overload! There were more than three!

I’ve gotten so used to having her by my side that it’s strange to wake up without feet jabbed into my ribs!

She is living her best life right now. She was able to stay with her Auntie Katie for a day (she got to see some of her favorite people that day too- I guess she learned to make bets/gamble and won some cash for her piggy bank from Johnny! Totally appropriate for a 5 year old to start young! Lol) and now is at her BFF’s house. She’s very spoiled by our circle so I never have to worry. But I sure do miss her sweet “good morning mommy” with that sleepy head kiss I get every day.

Was a rocky start to my birthday weekend! Lots of holding walls, head felt like it was going to fall off, bathroom runs for that queazy stomach but I pulled through! Being hungover gets worse with age and clearly my birthday-weekends are e not the same or my ability to mix drinks! I need to time out my partying ass!

... ok it’s coming to be the flip on Monday.

Laundry room refresh!

I’m happy with how cheerful is ended up being! Perfectly fitting for the farm.

My tiny gardener picking fruit for lemon juice, orange juice and to make our own lemon pepper. (We also have grapefruit to eat with tajin!)

My mornings are so different in this house. I had a blackout curtains and navy walls prior (swipe) and now it’s so light and airy!

She’s the girliest of girls so this room suits her perfectly!

I let Apple pick the items she loved and the wall color! On her dresser are little ornaments my Papa would gift me on my birthdays. I felt it was the right time to bring them into her room to enjoy.

When we planned his room he wanted something cozy and dark walls. He grandfathered the bunk beds Apple and him shared in the last house and we repurposed many items we had in different rooms. The antique artwork was from our master bedroom and chair from our living room.
