I recently spoke to a few people about arthritis and chiropractic. We are a great tool to decrease the progression of degeneration. (arthritis) Here is a case study article of a 70 year old woman with hip osteoarthritis. The result was improvement in movement, decreased pain, increased balance, improvement in walking and standing after a 12-week chiropractic treatment plan.

Someone mentioned how diseases like Dementia have been called, "Diabetes type III". When you think about it, it does make sense. If you have ever went long hours without food, you tend to become forgetful.

When you eat something, the brain is "the first one to get dibs" on sugar. Everything else is after. Here is a fun article discussing the brain, glucose, and what is going on.

It's Tuesday!!! It is very hot outside. While I am open and here at Jade Orchid Wellness, where it is a lovely 74 degrees inside, it is still very hot. Make sure to:
1. Take water if you are leaving out and frequently take sips throughout the heat.
2. Wear a hat. Time to look like a farmer.
3. Shoes with cotton socks.
4. (This is for all year long) Wear Sunscreen!!!!

As the summer vacation for my kids come to a close, it was an adjusting period which I didn't think it would be. But, I am seeing more educators and staff coming back into the offices I float in and the permanent offices. This is to say, if you do work in the school systems- it is like training. You are an Olympian in education. You inspire and help young minds. Get your check ups! We, the healthcare professionals are here to get you like a 16 year old going back to school. PFAS are microplastics. A news article was recently posted about how these plastics are ending up in the smallest most intimate parts of us. ( The article explained how they found it in male human testicles. ) Due to the nature of plastics they can interfere with hormone pathways and neurotransmitters. While many are against detoxification, there are more and more people coming out with a liver that is not detoxifying as effectively as it should. Here are some things to look out for.

I took a break from blogs off the Jade Orchid Wellness website. Something that I have been working on- HORMONES! I get patients that are worried about their husband, hormones after baby, post-menopausal, pre-menopausal, " that andropause entry". I will still attempt to add some of my yummy recipes up. If you are not following me on IG, you should. I make juices, teas, smoothies, food, grill, stir fry and so much more! Not only do I make vegan recipes but healthy non-vegan ones.

I am reinstated to perform DOT examinations for bus and truck drivers. ( Certified Medical Examiner) If you know someone who is in need of a DOT exam to keep their CDL license, have them call Jade Orchid Wellness or email me. I currently do not perform these exams in Chicago.

So, if you are considering going vegan and you are a female of childbearing years there is something I keep forgetting to mention. You have little to no symptoms and no pain in the back and pelvis. I had it and many of my vegan buddies do get this but- fatigue! Why is this? Close to me**es there is a great need for iron. Increase the food intake of spinach or even an iron supplement. Do this two weeks prior to when Aunt Flo comes to join the party. Eat throughout the week and supplement throughout the week as such. Message me if you have any questions! Tingling in the arm? You could be suffering from a number of things that should not be taken lightly. I always hope it is the best case scenario- a subluxated rib or thoracic outlet syndrome. Since I have been *mostly* MIA from the office, I have had a chance to talk to a lot of people and many are feeling tired. I have been with them but because I recently gave up coffee. What an experience to give it up and NOT go under a detox. This morning, I can say I had Vanilla Rooibus Tea and took BC-ATP and I am starting to feel more like myself. One of my resolutions this year was to give up coffee.
