A New Now - Support Your local Mavericks, Mystics & Weirdos 🌝

This is the official last ever change of the Hyde Park Billboards in the collaboration with FYI 💫 The place where was born 💥

We are so happy to be able to bookend the project with Morag Myerscough where it all started and very happy to be bringing back the work of MOLU Designs to accompany her - the perfect combo 😍🌈🌟

Whilst the UK press et al were shouting freedom day yesterday, we would like to make a bid for remembering the things you cared about and the simple things that made you smile since March 2020 and of course art is our medium to do that 🌈👏

We think that ‘Be Safe’ is more important now than it was when we were in lockdown - this is new now but it’s not certain freedom - look after your locals - look out for each other and most of all remember that we’re all in this together and stronger together ❤️

Huge Thank you to Studio Build IGC layout 🥳

‘A New Now’ is part of campaign by 👏

We are still raising funds till the end of the July for Frontline19 but we thought it was perfect finale with the person we started it with ❤️🌈👏

As today marks the NHS 73rd birthday we thought it fitting to share this beautiful story from Peony Vintage about what supporting means to her and her family.

‘My mum was born with cystic fibrosis and had a liver transplant at age 21. At age 27 she had me and I am now 29- she died last year at age 54 due to multiple organ failure but FAR outlived her multiple health conditions due to exceptional care under the NHS for over 33 years.

Kings college hospital, and Royal Brompton hospital and were regular visiting places for me growing up and she would never have had me and raised me alone and without the exceptional care of workers for the NHS.

She was also a singer and was in Phantom of the opera in London for 6 years- SO many things are only possible because of people who work on the frontline day in day out.’

So everyone working in the NHS and on the frontline - Thank you ~ Where would we be without you 🙏🏻♥️🌈

The lovely people at Vyne have been sponsoring the 'Posters for the People' 2.0 campaign by taking the wonderful pieces of art from the campaign and turning them in to stickers which have been put onto all their products going directly to frontline workers in hospitals and the community across the UK.

Recently they received some kind words from a lovely lady working in the NHS who had spotted our stickers whilst at work and wanted to let us know how much they had touched her:

"I have noticed lately stickers on boxes with artwork that has been dedicated to frontline workers, well I wanted to tell you I thought this was lovely and amazing it really touched my heart that your company has done this, the artwork is inspiring and the positive messages really are unique and make you feel valued. In fact as you will see from the pictures I have sent you I removed some from the outer box and applied them to my work book, so everyday I see positive words and lovely pictures.

Thank you so much for showing how much you care, what an amazing company you are."

And we couldn’t agree more, thank you so much Vyne Healthcare for spreading positivity through these pieces and helping to raise awareness for a very worthy cause! All funds raised by the Posters for the People 2.0 campaign go to Frontline19, a charity supporting NHS & frontline workers with free psychological help from qualified professionals.

Have you seen these stickers on products in your hospital or clinic? Let us know!

On Friday we unveiled a different kind of collaboration for In Good Company - an idea that was brought to us that we helped to shape 👏 here’s the journey story 🙌

Earlier this year a lovely chap called Andrew Ashton a big fan of Andrew Weatherall contacted Sheaf St looking for a location to place a piece of artwork he wanted to commission in tribute to his hero.

He wanted to have the talented Mary Goodwin make a mosaic piece but have it on permanent display for all to see.

Sheaf St and In Good Company connected Andrew and Mary with Andrew Weatherall’s partner to ensure everything had an official sign-off.

Lizzie provided the most incredible photograph from the archives and IGC Laura Wellington helped pull the project together with the addition of Andrew's iconic statement. 'Fail we may, Sail we must' (which came from a fisherman in Cork see- https://www.irishexaminer.com/.../arts.../arid-40228490.html)

Laura picked up the repeat in the AW and on the right that is in a grey rather than white as a sign off

Rabbit Hole worked up the typography / Arlene Borrill helped Andrew secure some funding from Leeds Inspired and Laura pulled in some additional funding from the IGC fund.

A mosaic artwork tribute to the life and work of Andrew Weatherall

Andrew Weatherall along with Sean Johnson were due to headline inner city electronic at Sheaf St back in March 2020, sadly Sean took to the decks solo after Andrew passing away just days before.

It turned out to be the last show at Sheaf St before lockdown closed it down. If you were there you know how special it was!

We had planned to unveil the artwork before the ALFOS Sheaf St reopening show on June 26th – but the roadmap delay has set that back, we decided to soldier on and still unveil as planned – we thought that marking a setback with a gloriously perfect tribute is the energy we need to be putting out to the world right now.

Fail we may, Sail we must.

Mary’s piece will there to be admired forever more and we hope you all love it as much as we do ❤️

‘You are only human, be gentle on yourself’ is one of 19 pieces of art designed to raise smiles nationally and funds for Frontline19 , who continue to support key workers with free psychological services.

Over the past few months while working with Frontline19 we've read and listened to a lot of comments from frontline teams around feeling forgotten, some working in roles with much bigger responsibilities than usual, situations that are heavily taxing on their mental health and most running on empty.

Which is why the services of Frontline 19 are so important.

More than just being bright, bold, works of positive filled art, the every sale of every banner and poster art from will go to help fund the essential works of Frontline19 in providing free psychological services for NHS and frontline workers.
