Hello everyone! This is my page for a weather based genius hour. This offers an opportunity for children to be more creative in the classroom and allows them to learn about, not just weather, but phonics as well. Each week we will learn about different types of weather. The students will be given a vocabulary list, a rhyming worksheet, and a worksheet dealing with syllables. Along with these, I will also present a powerpoint that explains what the topic is as well as what the vocabulary words mean. Videos and a song will accompany each lesson as well. To add the creativity aspect, there will be crafts with each lesson. Some the class will preform as a group while others I will allow the children to make their own creations. At the end of the work I will have a vocabulary test to show their improvement.
