A lot of the moves I’ve made in business have been based on intuition. There have been moments when I could have easily said “I’m not going to do this because logic is saying no,” but my intuition said, “GO FOR IT!” It has never proved me wrong.

Sometimes do what you can and surrender to the results. No point worrying.

That said, intuition is a skill to hone. It is difficult to determine when to trust it and whether that is intuition or not. I was recently in a situation where my intuition was saying one thing and my brain was saying another. Because of the nature of the situation and my own biases, I ignored my intuition. I later found out my intuition was right the whole time. But it was too late.

We are all intuitive. It’s just some of us have a little more practice using it than others. Meditation, prayer, and self-reflection can help you out here.

New Year’s is possibly the best time to build a new you — both inside and out. On top of the new clothes and hairstyle you can swap into, take small, actionable steps to make meaningful changes in your life.

2. Put family first

During the Lunar New Year, we see the family come together. it marks a great time to reconnect with family near and far, young and old, and let them know you’re thinking of them. Family is truly is priority number one but don't forget that even after the festive season.

3. Know when to take a break

Knowing when to step back and take a break is important not just for your mental health but also for work health. With good rest, productivity also goes. Think of our motivation as a portable battery pack. We need to be charged too.

It is easy to get distracted and lose focus, but take the patience to stick it through. With the test of time, brush up on your skill. I've been faced with many options in life like others. There was a time when I learned many different things. I wasn't particularly good at it, nor was I bad at it. I felt lost, unsure of how to grow myself. When I decided to devote myself to being good at ONE good thing first, my life's path opened up. Indeed, we just have to pursue and grow.

One of the most interesting things about Chinese customs is that there are MANY customs. Would you follow these customs? 😄

Goals don't have to be super specific. Some of us are very clear that we want to become a manager in 3 years. Some of us could instead aim to discover a job we're passionate about in 3 years. Everybody has a different timeline so instead of looking around us, focus on yourself. Life is much more enjoyable when you're looking at your own progress 🏆

Let's start 2022 right. Know that there is no one-size-fits-all financial formula. Clients always ask me "what do other people my age do for their financial plans?" But I'd rather not answer and simply tailor one for your needs.

Everyone’s situation is drastically different. What works for one person won’t work for everyone.

If I’m a 30-year-old, single, and self-employed, a lot of the common financial advice that’s out there probably wouldn't work for me.

Figure out what you value and work it out financially. Speak to your financial consultant or a trusted friend versed in the area if you're not sure! It's always better to talk to someone who knows what they're doing :)

Many students start working at their last school term as the workload is lighter. If you are doing so, these tips will help. This is one harsh truth but it's true. Some people don’t want to see you succeed. If you're got the peter tingle too, you might feel it. Some people just do not want to see you happy.

E.g. if you find yourself moving up higher than the current company you are in. If you are trying to change your life for the better and you’ve got things going for you, you need to be aware that not everyone will like it. Toxic people will drag you down. Keep them out of your life.
