Great job and congratulations to these two young nigerians for putting Nigeria and Africa on a global scene for their smartness!

12/10/2020

Nigerians in Nigeria have been clamoring over the past 6 days that the Federal Govt of and others put an end to Special anti-robbery squad (SARS). We in the diaspora also want nigerians to have a country where everyone is treated with decency with nobody above the law. There has been a lot of killings by the SARS unit of the Nigerian police dept that has just been unwarranted! Peaceful Protesters have the right to protest not to be shot at! Nigeria deserves better!

08/10/2020

Nigerians need to understand their history. It is imperative that they understand what it means to protest. Protesting is the fundamental right of any citizen that feels slighted against government policies that aren't in favor of her citizens. It was the "mama Olojas" and the "women from the east" that started one of the first protest against the British colonial masters when they decided that they weren't going to pay taxes levied against them because they believed it was unjust. These women weren't as smart at having a masters or phd but they won the battle because they believe in their clarion call against injustice! As with going on right now in the Nigeria, it is important for the Nigerian people to know that if they so desire they could fight and protest peacefully against unjust killings and dehumanization of Nigerians from the SARS unit of the Nigerian Police Force. Know your right and your history. Below is a beautiful history of Nigeria before independence that showed that without consistency and
protest the British colonial masters would not have left Nigeria. Watch the netflix documentary- see the link πŸ‘‡πŸΏ to educate yourself on the real history of Nigeria and understand how protesting liberated generations of Nigerians. As Aisha Yesufu once said " no nigerian is more nigerian than any nigerian"

Happy Juneteenth! According to Oxford dictionary "a holiday celebrated on 19 June to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the US. The holiday was first celebrated in Texas, where on that date in 1865, in the aftermath of the Civil War, slaves were declared free under the terms of the 1862 Emancipation Proclamation."

Thank you Afrimerican Culture Initiative Inc. "With the tragic loss of George Floyd and the global response against racial inequality and justice in America, people are asking how best to ally with the African american community?
We have a golden opportunity to learn more about the African American cultural struggle by celebrating Juneteenth together. The Juneteenth celebration commemorates the last slaves to be freed in Galveston , TX. on June 19th, 1865. About 2 years after the emancipation proclamation was passed.
While we do focus heavily on the major cultural issues between Black and White America, we encourage African Immigrants(especially), Afro-LatinX, Afro-Carribean and all other cultures that yearn to know how best to ally with the African American community."
