There is nothing like packing a picnic and heading out for a sunset mission π especially when this is what you find! We highly recommend hiring a car when you are visiting Uluru so you can go at your own pace βπΌ

We hired a car for the day and decided to pick up some snacks and head to this viewing area to watch the sunset π nature really put on a show for us as we watched the colours of the rock change 𧑠who needs a TV when nature delivers this view π€©

Sometimes when travelling you come across a place so special you just need to sit and take it all in πΏ Mutitjulu Waterhole was on of those spots for us π the sound of the little birds flying around and the breeze in the trees was so calming. The story behind this spot also had us looking around for signs of the Tjukurpa (the Dreaming Law) π€©

The early start to the day was well worth it when this is your view π with a coffee in hand we watched the sun slowly rise βοΈ this was the first colours that appeared above Uluru ππΌ so magical β¨

Itβs always worth waking up early to view these rock formations that are at least 400 million years old ππΌπ whoβs visited here before?

A bit of a throwback to this colourful lake in the Great Sandy National Park π one of the beast hidden gems in Queensland! Memories like this get us excited for some more adventures to come this year βπΌβοΈπΏ

1. Have a couple of things you really want to see while in that spot.
2. Go slow and enjoy being in the moment somewhere as you might only be there once.
3. Try to walk as much as you can so you can take in all the scenery.
4. Do as the locals do so you can get an appreciation for the culture of the place.

One of the many beautiful spots on the Pyramid walk in Girraween National Park πΏ this walk is a 3.6km return walk that takes you past this tranquil stream, the Granite Arch and the Balancing Rock ππ½ββοΈππ»ββοΈ one of the must dos while in Stanthorpe!

Just taking some time to sit and admire this awesome creation of nature πΏ the Granite Arch is a short walk in Girraween National Park where you can some of the incredible formations of ππΌ

One of our favourite hikes to date ππΌ the Pyramid walk in Girraween National Park is a steep climb but is so worth it for the view up top β°
If youβre brave enough to ascend the Pyramid you will find these precariously balanced boulders π§ they have been carved out by years of wind, rain and lightning β makes this walk all worth it!

When the sun sets, the rock wallabies come out to play π¦ and how adorable are they? One of the best things to do is to get up close and personal with nature π

To think that this beautiful paradise is only an hour away from Brisbane πβοΈ there is no better way to spend your afternoon than a walk along the beach with the dusk providing beautiful winter hues π

in the afternoon you can find these guys all over The island as they feed π¦ this is the perfect time to do the North Gorge Walk as youβll see them roaming around having a feed πΏ

Have you ever seen a yellow lake? This is by far one of the most beautiful locations we have been in π also a unique spot for a swim ππΌββοΈ

You can walk amongst the Macadamia tress, chill out in the hammocks, grab a bite at the cafe or walk through the sunflowers at this farm π one of the top spots to visit if your in the Kingscliff area π

There are freshwater lakes and then there is Lake McKenzie π Fraser Island has a range of freshwater lakes but this lake has to be the most popular, and you can see why ππΌπ

Ancient trees, crystal clear water and the sounds of cicadas πΏ
We were so amazed by how clear the water in this creek was π So much so that you wouldnβt have thought there was water at all π¦ I think the theme of Fraser is that we were constantly in awe of the natural beauty of it π we will absolutely be returning so we can stay for a couple of days and hopefully 4WD it so we can see more of the island π

Located in the Gold Coast Hinterland, Purling Brook Falls is one of the best waterfalls to discover π¦ seeing this waterfall now after all the rain we have had in would be really somethingππΌ

A couple of weekends ago we ventured to this little beauty ππΌ Buderim Forest Park was gorgeous and the board walk is one of the highlights π΄πΏ always love a good boardwalk!

Couldnβt think of a better place to start your weekend than a leisurely stroll along Tallow Beach πβοΈ what is so beautiful about this beach is that it is rather quiet and avoids the touristy areas of Byron, so pitch your beach umbrella up here and enjoy your day π

One of our favourite places we have travelled this year has to be Fraser Island π Lake McKenzie is a hidden paradise within Fraser and is like no other place we have been before ππΌ we canβt wait to explore this Island more!
