We went along last night and all really enjoyed the show...some great humour for young and old! Some great props, fabulous puppetry and amazing set changes!

Jaxon loves reading David Walliams' books and has been trying to get through Awful Auntie ahead of our trip to Everyman Theatre - Cheltenham to see the production on stage...we can't wait! 🎭.

🌟 EVOLUTION 2024 🌟 Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

What an awesome weekend of fun and adventures we had at Strategy & Evolution this year...our first time attending (Jaxon as a Cub and myself as a Leader) and we are already looking forward to next year!! Assuming I've caught up on some sleep by then mind...nearly 900 kiddos on the site doesn't bode well for a quiet night's sleep for anyone 🙈⛺🥱🤣

Evolution is a two night camp for Cubs AND Brownies with epic challenges, fab entertainment and plenty of food and FUN!!! Scroll the photos for just a tiny snippet!

🌟 PERFORMING ARTS 🌟 Stagecoach, Gloucester, Gloucestershire.

You may have seen from some of my past posts that Jaxon and Zoey both attend Stagecoach Performing Arts Gloucester and absolutely love it! The staff team are awesome and the children have so much fun whilst gaining confidence and skills in performing arts. Jaxon has just proudly received his 2 year award and Zoey has now done 2 wonderful terms and now on her way to get her 1 year award! They both adore their weekly classes and would spend every single day there if they could!! 💖🎭

Before Christmas we watched both their groups end of term performances and as always, they were AMAZING! Jaxon played two roles in the Main Stages show of Dick Whittington and Zoey had a role in the Early Stages performance of The Christmasaurus. Every single child oozed in confidence and smiled all the way through their scenes, such a gorgeous sight to see and such a credit to the wonderful teachers...lots of very proud parents walking out of the hall that afternoon!! 🥰

Does your child love acting, dancing and singing? There are a few term time places available to start this week, classes run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays - see the Stagecoach website for full details, or message Kate via the Stagecoach Gloucester social media pages with any questions at all (they offer a two week trial to make sure your child enjoys it...I'm pretty confident they will love it!!). 🙌

Stagecoach also run school holiday workshops and next up is Easter School where bookings are already being taken...this is open to anyone - the children do not need to have attended a Stagecoach class before.

FEE-FI-FO-FUN....we were kindly invited by Worcester Theatres to The Swan Theatre to see the wonderful performance of Jack and the Beanstalk presented by Worcester Rep and it gets a big thumbs up from us! 👍

🌟 PANTO TIME 🌟 The Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.

We were kindly invited to the lovely Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury to watch Beauty and The Beast. 🌹

We loved all the gorgeous costumes and stage sets, had plenty of laughs at the usual good old panto banter, enjoyed lots of singing and dancing, and there was some great guitar playing too! 🎸

Loved that the cast came into the stalls for various parts of the show...though the only bit we didn't like was getting soaked by the water pistol! (Scroll for photo evidence haha!). 😂😂😜😂😂

It was wonderful to see the youth drama group taking part, amazing talent and confidence from such youngsters, great opportunity for them.

I hadn't realised that The Roses was a charity and heavily rely on their supporters to be able to keep running. 🎭🍿🍦🍷

We love a good festive family panto trip and always love our annual visit to the wonderful Everyman Theatre - Cheltenham . This year we got to see Tweedy playing the dame 🤭 in Mother Goose and what an absolutely CRACKING show it was, full of EGGcellent talent! 🪿🥚

There's some fabulous singing and dancing to join in with and plenty of jokes, for children and adults, to get you chuckling your way through the show!

Did you know that Tweedy is patron of Home-Start Stroud and Gloucester and Allsorts Gloucestershire ? After the performance there are collection buckets for the charities...please donate if you are able. 👍

🌟 ILLUMINATED LIGHT TRAIL 🌟 Winter Glow, Malvern, Worcestershire.

We were kindly invited to the opening night of Winter Glow 2023 where we got to try out the fabulous skating rink (another post to follow) and be amazed at the illuminated light trail, amongst soaking up the lovely festive atmosphere across the whole site.

The light trail takes you on an amazing adventure across the vast grounds of Three Counties Showground...wrap up warm and enjoy a magical wander along the trail taking in all the amazing installations on the quest to "bring the Snowflake home".

We love that all the structures, installations, and illuminations are created especially for Winter Glow by their teams of local creative artists, lighting designers and craft-persons...one we always look out for is the incredible willow works by Oakey Bear Outdoor Learning (see photo three).

There are plenty of wonderful photo opportunities so make sure your phone is fully charged, or even take a camera to capture these special memories. 💖

🌟 LIGHT TRAIL 🌟 Webbs, Wychbold, Worcestershire.

We were kindly invited to the launch evening of The Enchanted Gardens Christmas light trail at Webbs Garden Centres in Wychbold, Worcestershire...it's a real must-do magical event for the whole family to enjoy! 🎄🎇🎅

During your visit "The gardens will be lit beautifully in jewel-like colours, festoon, and fairy lights. You will wander through zoned areas, inspired by the tale of Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie. Wendy, John and Michael's nursery in London at Christmas, Mermaid's Lagoon, Pirate's Cove, Tiger Lily's Camp, Wendy's House, Peter Pan's Camp and The Jolly Roger. There is also an optional extra stop via Santa - where the elves will be busy in the elf workshop and Santa will be snug in his house."

There are plenty of friendly and helpful staff dotted around the trail directing people and being at hand for any questions.

We spent a magical hour wandering along the trail, there's no time restriction (other than closing time!) so you are free to spend as long as you like to take it all in...it really is gorgeous and there's so much to see!

There's a great atmosphere at the rink with lovely lights and great music.... definitely worth a visit or two this festive season. ❄️🎶⛸️🪩⛸️🎶❄️

The friendly and helpful staff keep a good eye out for anyone needing any help and if anyone falls they're straight there checking they're okay and staying until they're back on their feet. (Special shout out to the lovely Krish who recognised us from when the rink was last there in 2021 and was once again his lovely smiley self!).

Well done to all those who braved the cold and rain and took part in the Remembrance Parades last Sunday! Always makes me so emotional. 🏵️🥰🏵️

Great to see Cheltenham on and lovely that my two got interviewed about how it felt to be in the parade...loved Jaxon's unprompted reply "I had happy tears". 💖🥰 🎥

Failed to get our annual photo with the current mayor but really lovely spending some time chatting to the former mayor Steve Harvey who gladly posed for some photos!

🌟 SCOUTS ASSOCIATION 🌟

Jaxon tried on his Beavers uniform for the last time before moving some of his badges over to his Cubs uniform ready to take part in our local remembrance parade tomorrow. ♥️🏵️♥️

"Master something you love, or try something shiny and new." He absolutely loved his time at Beavers and is now enjoying new challenges at Cubs. The Scouts Association runs groups for ages 4-25 with Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Network...both boys and girls are welcome! Does your child/young person belong to a section?

🌟 FIREWORKS 11/11/23 🌟
