Taking a pause on these magic welsh clifftops….

Listening to the set i have prepared for this Saturday morning with !!
This one is deep and echoes for us to stand up, stand out.

It is not always easy to prioritize the dance…our dance, our lives (!)… when there is so much else to attend to in our worlds and at home with our families.

For me, this week it was a poorly baby 🤒 and packing up our house ready for winter adventures 🌀

But! The dance is always there, always waiting to come through us, to find form and flow in the motion of our bodies, it’s a Liberation !
And it clarifies, cleanses and heals 🙌

Liberation - was the inspiration leading the way of creation for this set, i have LOVED weaving it together, it’s becoming has been a medicine for me 🙏

�I didn’t grow up surrounded by free expression, rather the contrary…so meeting with the wildness of the Amsterdam club scene in my early 20’s left me spellbound, dance and music had found me and I was in a deep exploratory love with both.
�Since then, Dance - and free expression in general have been my guide, enabling me to explore the power of body movement & voice within transformational healing spaces and movement communities all over Europe.

Movement is my meditation, I Dance to connect with a greater self.

I never used to sing*

I used to believe, like many many others,
that I couldn’t,
that my sound would disturb others,
that it would not be joyful, not sound ‘right’

Looking back at all the little moments
I wished to express through song - but didn’t,
all the little moments
a magic melody crept from my bones up into my throat &
despite my wish to share, never travelled past my lips,
stuck, disappointed,
un-expressed magic

After opening some golden doors,
slowly song began to flood into my daily rituals,
I found myself singing wildly among the trees,
howling into the core of the earth with my wishes,
in song,
beautiful, loud, quiet,
sometimes ugly, expressive song -Liberation
