Another huge announcement that came out of the annual D23 conference is the creation of a Monsters Inc Land at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios! This new adventure will include the first suspended roller coaster on Disney property!
As mentioned yesterday, the Villains Land is one of two large changes coming to Magic Kingdom. The second is the creation of two Cars-inspired attractions, which is a first for this theme park at Walt Disney World!
The news has been out for days already, but if you haven’t heard, Disney announced a number of exciting plans for the future of the parks during last week’s annual D23 conference in California.
The most exciting news to me is the proposed expansion at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom- Villains Land! The proposed expansion is one of two large expansions planned for Magic Kingdom, and is planned to have new attractions, dining, and shops. Stay tuned to learn more!
Happy anniversary to Once Upon a Wish Travel! It is so great to be a part of this team and help people to make unforgettable memories!
Happy Sunday Funday! It's International Son and Daughter Day!
Any guesses where Parker and Willow are standing when this photo was taken?
Happy birthday to our first mate and #2 Disney fan! (I'm the captain and #1 fan, of course).
On this International Day of Friendship, here's Willow and Moana. These two are best friends, even if Moana doesn't know it 🤣
We’re on our way! I’ve got my assistant travel agents with me and we’re ready to check out the latest and greatest at Walt Disney World!
Happy Father’s Day to these two dads! And with that, Disney travel countdown tip #1 - relax and have fun with your friends and family on your trip!
Disney travel countdown tip #2 - This will be a tough one, but have everyone in your party pick one thing that they must do on the trip in order for it to be a success in their mind. Everything else on top of that is added bonus. I find this helps lead to a more positive experience for everyone! Someone in my family is really set on riding Slinky Dog this trip, and it might surprise you who it is…
Happy Flag Day from Mickey Mouse and Parker! For Disney travel countdown tip #3, celebrate your culture and embrace the new ones all around you. You’re never too young or old to find something new that you’ll like in life!
As the memes often suggest, Disney travel countdown tip #4 is life is short, so eat the dessert. Barring any specific medical reasons, your calorie counter app will be there for you after the trip. Don’t stress about eating and enjoy all of the tastes that Walt Disney World has to offer!
We’re halfway there on our travel tips! Our Disney travel countdown tip #5 is to experience the many different transportation options that are available to guests at Walt Disney World. These modes of transportation are not only functional as transportation methods, but they are also experiences themselves! Walt Disney World resorts have access to the new Skyliner system, the monorail, buses, boats, and the Minnie van service.
Disney travel countdown tip #6 - Take advantage and use technology when you can. You see this Kermit doll? It mysteriously fell from the stroller in Animal Kingdom and we spent what felt like hours backtracking through the park to find it (shoutout to the person who turned it into Guest Relations). Now years later, Kermit has retired in the house but we have a Sally doll. Sally has an AirTag in her pocket. The is just a small example of how technology has improved and can make lives easier on trips. Use it wisely!
For Disney travel countdown tip # 7 - Engage with the cast members. If you take care of them, they’ll take care of you. Disney cast members are highly trained and very engaging. Take advantage and incorporate them into your trip. Years ago we had a tradition of never looking at the pictures of our trip until we were on the plane home. These two cast members heard us say that and decided to leave us a little laugh on our camera. It made the experience that much more memorable!
Disney travel countdown tip #8 - Prepare for downtime! Even with all of the things to do in Walt Disney World, there will be points when you want to escape the heat and just hang out in your room. Plan to bring some activities for your kids for when the time comes, including a good book. This will be helpful for an afternoon refresher before heading back out to the parks!
For today’s Disney travel countdown tip #9 - enjoy the view! In a place like Walt Disney World, there is so much to offer from the parks, food, and experiences. But there’s also the beautifully designed landscape of the property. Some of the best views I’ve seen have been right off the Seven Seas Lagoon.
Today starts the 10 day countdown for my family’s upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. Over the next 10 days I’ll be sharing a travel tip every day from my personal experience on countless trips with my favorite crew.
Kicking off with Disney travel countdown tip #10 - it may be obvious, but make a list and check it twice! Over these last few days is when the bulk of the packing takes place and you won’t want to forget anything.
Blue skies and sunshine for this reveal 🤩✨
Believe it or not, Halloween will be here before we know it. Don't forget to grab your tickets to one of the spookiest events of the year at Walt Disney World!
