It’s not everyday that you are Grand Marshal and have the honor of being driven by your childhood piano teacher and her husband, who attended the parade to see you. They practically raised me, and I’m so happy and so grateful for the opportunity. Thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Edwards. I love you both. ❤️❤️ Thank you also to Mrs. Joan McPherson and the N.C. Pecan Harvest Festival committee for such an honor, opportunity and experience. It was an absolute blast!!!

Today, we celebrate the hard work and dedication of all the incredible individuals who make our world go ‘round! Whether you're a doctor, lawyer, teacher, engineer, artist, or any other profession, YOUR efforts are what keep our society thriving and moving forward. Labor Day, to me, is recognizing the fact that hard work pays off, but it's also a reminder to find a healthy work-life balance. Take this opportunity to reflect on your achievements, set new goals, and prioritize self-care. You deserve it! 💖 Happy Labor Day!

Special shout out to EMS/First Responders, Truck Drivers, Educators, Retail Workers, and Environmental services today! You are soooo appreciated 🫶🏾

Very thankful that I wasn’t on campus today during the tragic event that occurred. My prayers are with the faculty’s family, the entire faculty and student body, fellow Tar Heels. Gun violence has become so desensitized, but still such a critical issue that screams its reminder on days such as these.

Now is a time to stand together as a student body, a campus, a city, a state, and nation proclaiming the significance of real action that will put an end to senseless and tragic gun violence! forever 🐏💙💙💔
