2 years ago on this day I took a major leap out of my comfort zone unveiling much of my story I had never shared before.

During this time, I felt such a mix of emotions. Felt raw, which made me present. Was exposed, but not naked. Completely open, yet so healed. My heart was racing, but I also felt so at ease.

See I had let go of the fear of what others might think of me. Put all the “what ifs” to the side. Surrendered the thoughts of what “could have been” and “should have been”.

I channelled my energy to focus on the things I can control and used the story of my first 22 years in this world to create a positive impact. I gave my all into something that will last eternity and it was the most alive I had ever felt.

What has transpired since this day has been a whirlwind of love, support, encouragement, connections, growth, and experiences of a lifetime. Sharing my story through writing, speeches, and all forms has presented me with the opportunity to learn and be inspired by others on their journeys throughout life. I learned that through sharing my story, I found inspiration in hearing other peoples stories and connecting on a level that goes far beyond the surface.

I am truly grateful for all the things that have happened in my life because they have made me the person I am today. I am not perfect, nobody is, but I sure am human!

Much love to you all and thanks for enjoying the grind along with me 💛💙

Every culture and language is unique, but a smile and laugh is universal…

I am honestly so grateful for the opportunity to expand my worldview and know I’m very fortunate to even travel. It is something I don’t take for granted and truly appreciate. I went into this chiropractic shadowing opportunity and European vacation with the mindset to fully immerse myself in each countries culture, language, lifestyle, and connect with locals. I noticed that everywhere I went - regardless of language, ethnicity, colour, race, religion, gender, background, etc. - everyone expressed happiness through a smile and laugh.

A quote that has stuck with me ever since I heard it was by Dr. Joe Dispenza. He stated, “Does your personality create your reality? Or does your reality create your personality?” See for me, I do my best to “Live Big” everyday and show up as my best positive form in every situation, with every connection, and leave no doubt that when I rest my head at the end of the day I did everything in my power to make the most out of the day. I would argue that your personality creates your reality. The way you look and respond to the exact same real situation as someone else is altered by your personality & perspective.

In this mindset, it’s where I find true happiness and am able to make the most out of every twist or turn, and ultimately create some lifelong bonds in the process!

Here are some pictures of my goofy side that didn’t make the cut of “Living Big” while generating a smile & laugh 😋

Sailing into 25 😎

As I get older, birthdays have become a great time for reflection. Franklin D. Roosevelt said “A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.” To me, it’s a day where I’m able to look back on all the lessons, experiences, mistakes, teachings, memories, and relationships that have developed me into the person I am on this present day.

I always ask myself - Am I genuinely happy? Did I follow my passions ? Did I chase my dreams? Did I take risks? Did I try new things? Did I get out of my comfort zone? Did I achieve my goals? Did I make mistakes? Did I fail? Did I learn? Did I grow?

See nobody is perfect and I know I’m far from it. But what I find beautiful is the pursuit of developing myself to be highest version I can be in every aspect while trying to uplift others on their journey as well.

Will there be adversity? Of course; and that’s the greatest part of it all. As Thomas S. Monson says it best, “We can’t direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails.” When things happen on our journey, how do you choose to react? Do you adjust your sails or keep resisting it?

Today, I am grateful to even be here and I am grateful that you are here reading this too! For me, it’s that internal drive within to continue adapting to everything thrown my way on this course and make the most out of every situation. Life can be taken away instantly, so choose to make the most of the days we got and adjust your sails ⛵️

Cheers to uncharted waters ahead 🤙

It’s the people you grow with along the journey that makes it so worthwhile 💚

My most controversial opinion:

I love exam season 🤓📚

Everyone looks at me cross-eyed (or like they’re doing the convergence test for an external eye exam🤪) when I say that. But the reason why is because I treat exam season like playoffs.

Being an athlete my whole life, I always LOVED playoffs. Well the same goes with exam season. You work hard all year to grow and learn, then all the work you put in is tested in playoffs - it’s do or die. I get into a great cycle with sleep, nutrition, physical fitness, mental/emotional health, and recovery - like playoffs. I channel my focus to be on the material I need to know and understand. Sometimes I need to prioritize certain parts over things I’m already strong at to be more well-rounded and succeed. I study my opponent, guessing their next move and prepare to expect the unexpected, along with how I’m going respond to it. Just before I step foot into the competition, I will trust that I put in all the work given my circumstances and go in with confidence. During, I try to be even keel (not getting too high or low) and remaining focussed - executing the game plan and paying attention to the details. Afterwards, I reflect on what I could have done better, learn from my mistakes by looking over the game/exam, and grow even more so that when it comes up in my future - I will be more prepared…

And that’s why I love exam season. So bring on year 1 Chiro playoffs baby😛

There are things in life we experience that change our outlook forever - and being a coach for the national athletes last week was one of those experiences for me.

Thank you for proving that beyond immeasurable obstacles, mindset and attitude always prevails!

Really excited to watch this sport in the Paralympics one day.

Goal: Raise $100,000 for by January 28th… And we’re already over halfway there! (Link In Bio)

Today I’m honoured to announce that I am donating 100% of my proceeds from Crossroads to STARS air ambulance - which is $51,143.89. My goal is for the public to match my donation to STARS in the next week before the hits the stage at the Barrett-Jackson auction, getting the total over $100,000! It’s a lofty goal, but together I think we can make it happen!!

The whole intent of Crossroads was for it to help others, and I can confidently say that my donation to STARS along with yours will assist in helping save peoples’ lives for years to come - which I believe is special.

By donating, you will receive a tax receipt, be a part of the STARS family, and give countless people a second chance at life! Please click the link in my bio to donate and share this with friends. Thank you in advance for supporting something that is so close to my heart!❤
