You too may be able to reclaim your calm and reduce discomforts from our daily stresses and bodily attacks. Life is to short to not live it to the fullest.

In short, I now can digest gluten, eat dairy, and most thankful to be able to digest Nightshades.

New Immune Boosting Recipe with CBD!!!

Jicama Citrus Berry Salad with Lemon Balm Poppy Seed Dressing
½ cup orange juice
20 lemon balm leaves, divided
¼ cup raw honey
2 tsp poppy seeds
1 lb. fresh strawberries, cleaned and cubed
8 oz. fresh blueberries, washed
2 mandarin oranges, peeled, segmented and cleaned of any loose membrane strings
2 droppers of Liv Labs HydroPRO 750mg H**p Oil

In a small saucepan, add 10 lemon balm leaves and heat over low. Simmer for 5 minutes to allow the leaves to release their essential oil and flavor. Remove the wilted leaves and add the honey and poppy seeds. Continue to simmer for several minutes longer to combine the flavors and reduce slightly.
Transfer the orange juice/honey mixture to a small bowl. Add in the CBD oil and stir to combine. Refrigerate to chill before pour over the fruit.
Place all of the prepared fruit into a large bowl. Layer the remaining 10 lemon balm leaves in a stack then roll them up and cut into small ribbons. Sprinkle over the fruit. Stir the dressing before pouring over the fruit and toss all together.
Additional small sprigs of lemon balm are optional as a final garnish. Serve immediately.
The fruit and the dressing can be made ahead of time and kept separate until ready to serve. Add the ribbons of lemon balm before serving also to prevent browning.
Note: other herbs such as mint and basil can be substituted for the lemon balm. A third mandarin orange may be added if they are very small.

Banana Bread Cookies (gluten free, vegan, paleo) - Simply Jillicious 03/04/2020

So when is the best time to add CBD oil to your recipe? If it is a baked good, it is best to add it to ingredients that are moist or liquidy.

In this particular cookie recipe from Simply Jillicious that is vegan, paleo and gluten free has smashed bananas.

I would add the CBD to the smashed bananas before adding them to the dry ingredients. (I might even add the maple syrup to the bananas to help mix in the CBD oil) 🍌🍌🍌

This allows for better distribution of the oil throughout the cookies.

A delicious and healthy recipe that is sure to please!!
🍓🍃🐚🍓🍃🐚🍓

Strawberry Mint Sweet Thai Chili Scallop Bundles
Serves 2

6 large scallops

1 in fresh ginger, grated

1 large garlic clove, grated

2 large sprigs fresh mint plus 1 tbs chopped mint

4 large strawberries, chopped

1 green onion, chopped

Cracked black pepper

¼ cup Healthy Sweet Thai Chili Sauce with CBD, recipe below

Butter lettuce leaves

Edamame in the shell

Cooked rice

In a saucepan, add enough water to cover the scallops. Add in the grated ginger, garlic and sprigs of mint. Heat the water to a low simmer then add the scallops. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until poached and tender. Remove from the broth but do not discard the water.

Cut the scallops into large chunks and add to the chopped strawberries, green onion, 1 tbs chopped mint and the Healthy Sweet Thai Chili Sauce. Toss and set aside.

Reheat the poaching liquid and add in the edamame shells and heat through. Drain and add a sprinkle of salt if desired.

Scoop the strawberry scallop mixture into the lettuce leaves. Serve with cooked rice and hot edamame shells.

Healthy Sweet Thai Chili Sauce

¼ cup rice vinegar (not the seasoned kind)

3 tbs. raw honey (local to your area if possible)

¼ tsp paprika

¼ tsp garlic powder

3 packets Stevia sweetener (equivalent to 2 tbs. sugar)

1 tbs. chili garlic sauce (recipe based on product with 80mg sodium/tsp)

½ cup water plus 1 ½ tbs. water (divided)

Optional: 1 dropper HydroPRO H**p CBD Oil or more as desired

1 tbs. tapioca starch (cornstarch can be used)

In a saucepan over medium high heat, add in all of the ingredients except the 1 ½ tbs. water and tapioca starch. Those two ingredients can be blended together to make a paste and set aside.

Bring the ingredients in the saucepan to a simmer and allow to cook for several minutes to combine the flavors. Then add in the tapioca/water paste to the sauce and stir. Continue to simmer for only a few minutes or until the sauce begins to thicken. Remove from the heat and serve or refrigerate.

The sauce can be served hot, cold or room temperature. Warming it will thin it out and be more dippable. Water can also be added to the sauce too thin to your liking.

*If sodium is not a concern and you would like more heat in the sauce, add more chili garlic sauce a teaspoon at a time until you reach the heat level you like. Remember that the sauce may develop more heat as it sits.

*Tapioca starch is allowed on a Paleo and Whole 30 Diet but it is not Keto friendly. It is gluten free but has carbohydrates just as cornstarch does. If choosing to use cornstarch, try to purchase non-GMO brands for a cleaner product.

Yields about 1 cup

Nutritional information based on 1 cup yield and 1 dropper of HydroPro H**p CBD Oil.

1 cup of sauce equals 212.50 calories or 13.28 calories/tablespoon

1 cup of sauce equals 57.75 carbohydrates or 3.61 carbs/tablespoon

1 cup of sauce equals 240 mg sodium or 15 mg/tablespoon

1 cup of sauce with 1 dropper of HydroPRO contains 16.7 mg H**p Oil

Here is a great alternative to one of my all time favorites, Coconut Shrimp with Marmalade Dip
🍤🌴🥥🍊
Coconut Orange Marmalade Mustard Dip with CBD

1 cup orange juice, all natural with no sugar added

½ cup orange marmalade spread, (I used Smucker’s Natural brand)

4 tsp. stone ground mustard

2 tsp horseradish sauce (I used Walmart Great Value brand)

4 pkg. Stevia (equivalent to 8 tsp. sugar)

Optional:1-2 droppers of HydroPRO H**p CBD Oil

2 tbs. water

2 tsp. tapioca starch

¼ cup toasted finely shredded unsweetened coconut, see note below
In a small bowl, mix together the water and tapioca starch and set aside.

In a saucepan, add the orange juice, orange marmalade, stone ground mustard, horseradish sauce and Stevia.

Bring to a simmer and cook to combine the ingredients. Slowly whisk in the tapioca starch slurry. Stir to combine and continue to simmer for a few more minutes so the sauce can thicken.

Remove from the heat and stir in the toasted coconut and CBD. Pour into a container, cover and refrigerate to continue to thicken the sauce.

Note: If you have bought an untoasted unsweetened shredded coconut, simply toast the coconut in a dry skillet over medium heat, stirring continuously until the coconut turns golden brown. Be careful to watch the coconut as it can begin to brown quickly. Remove from the heat and add to the recipe as instructed.

Great to serve with grilled shrimp, fish or chicken.

Makes approx. 2 cups Nutritional information based on 32 tablespoons; 19 calories/tbs., 3.8 carbs/tbs., 3mg sodium/tbs. *You can use xantham gum to thicken the sauce. It will lower the carbs but it increases the sodium count.

Important Questions to ask Before You Buy | LivLabs 16/03/2020

With CBD becoming more available, it's important to understand what you are looking for in a product. THEY ARE NOT ALL EQUAL.

In 2019 I used over 5 different brands ranging from $99.00/bottle to $240.00/bottle. Their purity and potency all ranged with the price.

Early this year, a manufacturer of CBD here in Oregon had to recall it's products from the shelves. It was found to not have had a second testing done. Their product was found to contain high levels of pesticides. The product I use now is guaranteed with Third Party testing.

1 1/2 cup water

4 full sprigs fresh mint leaves, crushed (1 tsp of dried mint leaves can be used)

1 lb frozen whole strawberries, thawed if possible

Optional toppings:

Real Whipped Topping or your favorite topping

Freeze-dried strawberries, crumbled into pieces

Mint leaves

Instructions: In a medium sized saucepan, add in 1/2 cup of water and the 4 full mint sprigs or dried mint leaves. Bring to a low simmer and allow to cook for several minutes to infuse the water with the mint flavor. Pick out the mint or strain to make a clear liquid.

Add the strawberries, honey, Stevia packets and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for several minutes to soften the fruit and melt the honey and sweetener. Turn off heat and set aside.

In a shallow bowl, add 1 cup of water and sprinkle the gelatin over the water and allow to set for 1 minute. Add to the hot strawberry mixture. Continue to stir to completely dissolve the gelatin. ***Optional step is to add in the desired amount of HydroPRO H**p CBD Oil to the strawberry mixture before blending.

Carefully transfer to a high speed blender and process until smooth. You can strain the strawberry mixture again put I prefer leaving the whole fruit in the dessert.

Pour into 4 dessert glasses and chill to set. Garnish with real whipped topping, a piece of freeze dried strawberry and a mint sprig.

Note: Non-fat yogurt would be a great substitute for whipped topping.

Living my best life from the inside out.

Disclaimer: This is my story about how CBD has improved my life. Less discomfort and ability to eat a normal diet have been the results. I am not making a medical claim that CBD will heal or cure. I do hope that my story will give hope and a chance for a better life for those who long for it.

In 2004 I traveled to Haiti on a missions trip. I came down with a gut illness that changed my life. Over the next five years I slowly became intolerant to digesting gluten, dairy and then later nightshades (then entire potato, tomato, eggplant and pepper family).

In 2010, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. I began auto-immune suppressing drugs that are known to cause cancer when taken for 20 years. In 2018, after only 10 years on the meds, with on-going reduced results, I decided to stop taking them and just deal with the flare ups and symptoms. My doctors agreed and off the meds I went.

Late 2018, I got a call that my mom was being put on Hospice. She had cancer that had spread all over. During the last two months of her life, we had been given some CBD oil for her to use. Not knowing if it truly helped her, she and all of us daughters believed it gave her calmness and maybe even extended her life.
