Landsca?
ℙ𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕖𝕕 𝕕𝕠𝕠𝕣
Who doesn’t love a hidden door.
While your wc can be extravagant inside you don’t always want it sign posted from the outside, so panelling around it adds an extra element of mystery.
Creative Spaces
Ever thought about outdoor rooms?
Shepherds Huts are really popular for a garden studio, air bnb / guest house or office space.
These can be off grid so no need for planning or large infrastructure changes, or just a power cable which a local electrician can install from the main house.
Comfies
Neutral colours are great in the bedroom to enhance natural light and it feels bigger with dressing area.
Pops of colour bring out your personality
Deep dark colours create the snug feeling, the room is physically embracing, soothing to sleep more in a hibernation state.
How much of a morning person are you to handle dark over light.
Living Comfort
Whether it’s modern, country, pop colour or glam, a comfortable living room is key.
A place to sink into cushions and lighting placements to feel embraced.
Vision
Look past the current and see the vision, see the serene space you want to enjoy.
Anything is possible in design, it’s just depends on the budget. But within budget you can make some really exciting changes.
This follows the theme of removing chrome, keeping neutral palette with a clean inviting bright space.

Re Design
Kitchens are a complex room, not only is there colour schemes and cupboard designs. But you have to think of a free flowing layout for each activity;
• cook
• eat
• socialise
• create
My kitchen here was squashed into a corner, I ripped it all out, removed the rayburn which was just for heating, and opened out the space with more working space.
Bath
Did you know that baths can help lower cortisol which is the main element of measuring stress.
Bathrooms needs to be practical, clean/ hygienic and comfortable.
I wanted the free standing modern look but with the practicality of a back to wall bath, and luckily managed to find an L bath to give me the best of both worlds!
Cozy Spaces
Switching up hardwood floors for carpets can make all the difference.
Adding neutral tones and earthy textures so wood and wool will nest the comfort feeling.
From doodles to realities
Textures
So I’ve been re doing the bathroom, it’s been a nightmare I’ll be honest.
Lots of lessons learnt but I didn’t hold back and now seeing my version in reality is epic!! One of the best feelings for the designer mindset.
I’ve just a mixture of tiles, wood and porcelain with of course brass. This oak under the sink is my favourite, I took the wire brush drill attachments and went crazy distressing it. It’s was sooooo satisfy, being hands on in design work is totally my thing to make it just as I want it. The perfectionist in me.
More images to follow with before an afters, on resigning bathroom layouts.
Outdoor Cooking
I mean who wouldn’t love a pizza oven in their garden.
Well it’s not as straight forward as you think, believe me. These weigh about 400kg so not something you can just pick up and move.
With this in mind it comes back to careful planning of where to put your outdoor kitchen, easy access and sheltered, it’s not sunny all year round 😂.
But they do make amazing pizza 🍕.
Little touches
It’s taken me sooo long to find the right little pots for my bedside table accents.
I spotted a few treats on and they were great to give me a sneak into some other bits.
So these were perfect to add a touch of depth to each bedside table.
Garden Props
I know it’s winter but it’s never to early to start thinking ahead to time in the garden next year
This pallet wood bar is so beautiful, sanded and oiled with a clear finished to keep the natural tones. I’m all about textures and tones within a similar palette
Great as a serving table, bar or decorative display. I’ve used pallet word a number of times for projects and all have worked out so well
Items like this can be included within a design project for those bespoke touches
Kitchen Dining
The entertaining space of the house
With more at home dinner parties and social gatherings, the open kitchen diner layout is more popular than ever
This is my last house, where I remodelled the space removing some walls and adjusting extension. I will do some before and after shots soon
I can also offer kitchen design plans, and I can assist with sourcing kitchen and worktops as well
Happy to review to use some of existing units worktops etc, or a complete strip and refurnish
Garden Luxuries
I said for ages I wanted a hot tub but now I have one I rarely get time to go in it 😔
The outdoor snug I designed as a relaxing space, initially I had seating and a fireplace but it seemed far more fitting for this beauty
Designing spaces in the garden is just as important as in the house, spending more time outdoors also has a number of health benefits even in the winter 😉
Lay-Z-Spa Hot Tubs
Subtle changes
That completely change the mood
We often out grow or change our styles or moods, we can make little changes to existing spaces to great a whole new feel
Here is my bedroom in my last property which was more modern than current, I always chose to dress houses appropriately to their structures and materials
Winter’s Coming
Yup a log delivery in the countryside means only one thing ….. Winter ❄️
When designing outdoor spaces it’s key to think of access and storage for all needs
Little Details
I admit I have a thing about gin bottles and obviously the gin inside
I’ve used a few different bottles around the house, brands and colours, for dried flowers or incense with sticks
These are frozen then thawed eucalyptus cut from the garden, those eucalyptus plants have gone crazy this year 😳 so there’s likely to me more cut and dotted around the house 😂
Design & Build
Not only do I love designing but i’m equally as passionate about building and creating the vision to
In my current stone cottage renovation, I’ve been using a lot of reclaimed materials where possible and rustic / chic styling
The garden has been the place that I can take complete control and have landscaped it all myself
Electrics
Light switches and plug sockets don’t have to be boring
At home I opted for black and brass throughout the house and these sockets and switches from are just perfect
They also match the door k***s, I do love a theme
Outdoor Dining
Creating spaces outside is just as important as inside, most of the summer is spent outside enjoying the warmer weather
Fresh air and sun light makes for an all better dining experience
This bespoke maple dining table is something else 🤍
Available to order DM for more info
Bedroom Mood
Walking up stairs after a long day to this view is a piece of tranquility
The panelling, the lighting and the bed. Nothing is more important than a bed finding the right frame and style, down to the mattress and sheets
I for one am particularly picky about these things
Autumn comforts 🍂
Is there anything better than a log burner and candles in autumn
Preparing for winter
