The Senate Law and Justice Committee will be meeting on Tuesday, September 8 to move HB 2513 (Everett—R, Lycoming). The bill will be amended with language that allows restaurants, hotels, clubs, distilleries, wineries, and breweries to open at a minimum of 50 percent occupancy with social distancing/barriers in place as permitted by the CDC and Department of Health. Identical language is also included to have the same provisions apply to “event venues.”

Our goal is to reopen the private event industry quickly and safely by providing a plan that ensures proper safety measures while establishing key differences between a “Private Event” and “Restaurant dining”.
