Who is going to be coming to the fundraising event and grabbing a bargain !!

Literally have so many different things there's something for everyone 😁

01/01/2022

I know it's late and I've been quite but I've finally found a venue to do the fundraising event!!

I will be doing a EVERYTHING a pound carboot in which all money will be going to this amazing charity ❤

I have so many donated things such as clothes , shoes, books, dvds , games , ornaments old and new so you will be sure to get a bargain !

It will be at the garden shed Wibsey so you can even have a cheeky drink 🎉🍸

26TH FEBRUARY - SAVE THE DATE AND GET SHARING 🥰

18/11/2021

Hi everyone , hope everyone is doing well!

So sorry for not posting recently life has just got on top of me since doing the skydive and I'm no longer doing the fundraising with who I was meant to be doing it with . That being said I'm still 100% up for raising as much money as possible for a charity so close to home and using the amazing gifts I've been donated .

I am thinking of hiring a pub out one day before Christmas and doing a car boot styled fundraising event ( with a cheeky drink ) in which all money would go to charity, what I would do is different stalls such as clothes , dvds, books etc and then with the the big gifts I was donated such as massages / hair and nails etc I'd raffle them off online . Doing things this way mean I can get the event done alot quicker and give the money to forget me not hospice ❤

Please comment your thoughts and ideas😊

P.s currently got 398 raised so far🎊

20/06/2021

With the recent news from Boris, the event has had to be postponed.

But we will be continuing to fundraise online❤️

We will keep you updated on what is happening and when we have rebooked the event❤️

10/06/2021

With only 1 month until my skydive I'd like to remind you all why I chose this charity ❤❤

****Please bare with this is a long story and can be very upsetting *****

I figured that I would give you all a back ground story as to why I'm so passionate about forget me not hospice and why I want to raise as much as possible !!!
This has been written by my auntie hence why it's written in 1st person.

Darcys Story!

28th March 2020.
Not feeling so good today, feel like I have a hangover which would be good if I had been drinking but obviously I haven’t 31 weeks pregnant tomorrow! Just spending the afternoon in bed!

29th March 2:40am

Regular toilet trip needed, don’t feel well still! Can’t get comfortable, then I cough ... did I just wee ?.... Nope I’m bleeding! “Everybody up”

Mad dash to the hospital!

Doppler, only heartbeat found is mine,
Move into a private room for a scan ....... male doctor enters ..... scan on “cat 1 emergency c-section prep” Kelly .... l knew I was having an abruption when it’s happened already you know! I’m alone right now so ringing Simon as he has to wait in the car park because of the new covid restrictions I’m ringing mum because I’m terrified!

There is loads of people in the room running around different people doing different things to me and I focus on this one midwife .... she is the same lady who was with me when I had Mary and she holding Simon and I’m just thinking “sorry .... I’m so sorry .... I can’t believe I did it again!
Then I’m away to theatre!

Everyone has masks not a little blue surgical one big masks and visors I can’t understand what they are saying! I’m laid on the bed I don’t know if they have started I’m just watching the clock

5:21 am
A midwife pops her head around the screen “ok kelly almost done then we will get you back to Simon!”
So has baby been born? When? what did I have?

Yes Kelly your baby is a girl born at 4:46am she’s been taken to neonatal care!

They moved me from the operating bed to the ward bed and boom! Bleeding again so everyone rushes around! It’s okay though just a well of blood not a haemorrhage! I’m taken to recovery!

A neonatal doctor came to see us and explained that Baby was in NICU and she was very poorly. Baby had needed full resuscitation but had been put on a ventilator to help her breath properly and that her heart was beating well and strong! We could go see her soon!

10am Finally was wheeled around to see our beautiful baby girl, absolutely tiny in a huge incubator and pipes and wires everywhere I could only stay 10 minutes I think the shock of the day caught up with me and I was sick everywhere!

Darcys birth was extremely traumatic and unfortunately she had brain damage this was discovered in an MRI on Wednesday 8th of April!

We were advised that too much of Darcys brain had been damaged and any treatment would be futile! We were told that comfort care would now take place and this could take hours days or weeks. I was desperate I asked if they could keep trying til after lockdown, I really wanted her brother and sister to meet her and her Grandma and Grandad at least.

The consultant said he would send a referral to forget me not hospice to see if they could take Darcy. We also arranged for a priest to come and visit Darcy the following day to christen her.

The following day arrived and we went to the hospital said good morning to Darcy and were then shown to rooms where we could hold the christening. As we were doing this we heard all manner of alarms were sounding. A nurse entered he room and asked us to follow her.

The alarms were for Darcy! She had decided that it was her time and even her ventilator couldn’t keep her with us!

Darcy passed away shortly after.

After leaving the hospital with empty arms and a broken heart we were referred to Forget Me Not Children’s hospice and I had 2 case workers.

They were amazing, they virtually attended all of my after care appointments and rang people on my behalf on numerous occasions. They listened to me crying and allowed me to do it!

I am currently receiving counselling face to face at the hospice and am being referred for EMDR for post traumatic stress disorder. I can then restart my counselling!

They brought a puppet show for the little people to help them understand what happened to Darcy. There is the offer of music therapy and counselling for our children and they have brought Christmas presents at Christmas. And this week we have received a humungous box of Easter eggs, activities games and DVD’s which makes us smile and draws a tear also!

This is an amazing charity with excellent services for everyone!

Please please support Chloe in her sky dive and fund raising efforts. Then forget me not can get the support they need to help other families who find themselves in this horrendous situation

Thank you!

22/05/2021

And we have a date!!!! If anyone has anything they can give that can be used for any of the stalls please me know, it will be very appreciated ❤❤

My reason I'm doing all this ❤

They say it gets easier when someone passes away but It really doesn't, 1 year ago today I got the message that broke my heart 💔
At just 11 days old you was taken away from us , such a precious little girl with a family who love you and will always remember you!😇

Family Events | Getting help | Help for Families | Forget Me Not Children's Hospice 27/03/2021

If you want to find out more on how Forget Me Not Hospice helps families in challenging times click the link below.

They offer various things for families going through end of life care or bereavement of a child. These can include hampers, days out, events as well as coffee mornings!

Everything they do is only possible due to donations, they offer their services free of charge to anyone in need of a little TLC who’s going through a difficult time.

Chloe is doing this so they are able to offer their services to more families and children as well as who they currently help. Without people doing the fundraising it would be difficult for them! We thank everyone who has donated already and those who like / share the page. We are not just doing this for donations, it’s also to raise awareness of the charity, what they do and who they help, so every like and share really does help if you can’t donate! ❤️

Family Events | Getting help | Help for Families | Forget Me Not Children's Hospice Families often tell us it really helps to talk to other families going through similar experiences, and for children to have fun with other children who might understand them better than we grown-ups can. That’s why we work really hard to arrange opportunities to get together, offering something ....
