We had an amazing time at High Tea on Sunday, at Prince's Gate Hotel.

Found this cute little guy yesterday, he was having trouble flying and even standing up. Took him to the SPCA and they reckoned he was drunk and needed to sleep it off!
I hadn't heard about birds getting drunk before!
It was so so pretty up close, and so cute when I gave it some water and it started chirping away 😍😍

This week for Miss Rotorua online challenges we were asked to post about who inspires us the most.
The person who inspires me most is my darling mother Rachael James ❤
She has always worked so hard and done her best to give me the best life possible.
She has always supported me, and even when I decide I want to reach big goals out of the blue, that aren't in my comfort zone and that I've never done before, she's always helped me believe I can do it.
I also love how caring she is in her work as teacher/principal.

A bit late and together but here they are!
Day 4 was making a recipe so I made rice pudding. Not as good as my Nana's but still yummy!

(Unfortunately no matter what room I tried in, the lighting just didn't want to work with me, especially picking up on the purple glitter eyeliner) 😂😭

Miss Rotorua 2021 Lockdown Challenge day two - 7 facts about me
1. Last year after lockdown I got my CELTA qualification to be an English teacher for speakers of other languages. Sometime in the future I plan to teach English in Korea – I fell in love with the country after visiting.
2. I have been to the World Championships of Performing Arts in LA on the NZ team twice. It was an amazing experience!
3. I have a phobia of my wrists being touched or grabbed and I don’t like looking at wrists either. This has a name - carpophobia!
4. My favourite food of all time is salmon, especially in sushi. I could eat it all day, every day! 🍣
5. I LOVE fashion. I was accepted into the Conde Nast College of Fashion & Design in London, but unfortunately ended up being unable to attend. 👗👠
6. I was diagnosed with anxiety in 2016 and mental health is an important topic to me.
7. I’ve been a dancer for Harcourts Dancing for Hospice. Our dance was Game of Thrones themed. 💃

I'm lucky in that work carries on for me (from home of course) and all the Covid news and updates has been keeping us busy at the local papers.
Also very grateful we were able to hold our Charity Art Treasure Night for Brave Charitable Trust before this lockdown hit.

It's been a long, busy, stressful week, and I haven't been feeling the best, but I'm excited to be uplifted by the great night that Harcourts Dancing for Hospice is! 😍 Good luck to all the dancers tonight. Every year makes me miss the stage more and more ❤

Today I got to be part of such a fun and helpful session at Mai salon with Kylah Williams - Miss Rotorua Contestent 2021 and Brooke Day - Miss Rotorua Contestant 2021 as we learnt how to do everyday make-up to boost our confidence in a master class.
I learnt lots of new tips that I'll definitely try and put into practice! 💄 Thank you Donald for sharing your time and expertise with us! 😊
